The CDC, very very early in the morning...

Eleanor Q. Adams was always a light sleeper, she often woke up when her dog's collar jangled in its sleep or when a car door shut down the street. It was a blessing and curse all at the same time. Tucker wasn't able to sneak into her room and steal her shit, which he often found himself attempting but then again if he decided to play the XBox until all hours of the morning... so did Elle.

Not by choice of course, him talking over the headset or grumbling under his breath when he lost the match kept her right up. Staring at the dark ceiling until eventually he shut the fuck up.

The end of the world hadn't changed her sleeping schedule whatsoever. So, when Andrea arose early in the morning to refund all the alcohol she drank? Elle woke right up beside her and Rory Adams stayed slumbering in the bed.

Light sleeping must've been an Adams trait rather than a Harrison one. Though, Elle was like her father in most ways.

"Easy there, I told you last night to take it slow." Ellie sighed, her hands holding her aunt's hair in a makeshift ponytail. "You've always over drank your tolerance."

"Says you, slamming back shitty beers like it's nothing." Andrea moaned, pressing her cheek against the cool porcelain of the toilet. "You drank a shit ton too."

"Yeah shitty beers... not expensive red wine."
The blonde sighed, slowly letting Andi's hair down and flushing the toilet.

"Same thing," She whined, leaning up against the wall in the small bathroom.

"You're a lightweight?"

"No!" The woman flipped off her niece before leaning back against the wall.

"I'm gonna shower, didn't get to last night." Elle spoke, beginning to remove her dirty flannel.

"I'm staying in here," Andrea warned, her green complexion made it clear that she wasn't feeling any better. Maybe she just didn't have any food left to throw up.

"Okay," The girl sighed, turning on the shower and letting it steam up. Andrea kept her body facing the door as Ellie removed her clothes and stepped into the shower. Though the girl didn't care all that much, Andi was just her aunt and it's not like she was that much to look at now anyways.

She was fairly emaciated and her hair was no longer the bright golden softness it used to be. Elle was just a shadow of her former self, slipping away into the awful darkness the world had become. She hated it, wished more than anything that she would just wake up one day in her Queen sized bed. A young golden retriever named Dottie sleeping soundly at the foot. Or maybe she'd wake up in a stuffy dorm room where the only noise heard was her roommate snoring softly.

Anywhere but here.

"So, how was your drive yesterday?" Andrea asked over the weak spray of the water. Her tone was suggestive but Ellie just ignored it. She had a habit of ignoring people's innuendos, just answering their questions literally. It worked especially well with men, always made them squirm when they had to backtrack whatever sexual remark they had made.
