Herschel Greene's Bedroom, afternoon...
"Think he maybe found an old friend?" Shane Walsh mumbled as a few of the group members walked around Herschel's bedroom.
"That was my grandfather's," Maggie explained, looking at the flask Shane was holding. "He gave it to him when he died."
"Herschel a big drinker?" Rick questioned, looking at a photo of Annette and Herschel.
"No, quit the day I was born. Hasn't touched a drop since."
"That you know of," Elle sighed, her uncle had quit drinking cold turkey as well. Yet for some reason she always found a mess of bottles under the spare bed during Christmas time.
"What's the town bar called?" Rick asked.
"Hadley's or something, it's right close to the pharmacy." Elle piped up, leaning uncomfortably on the door frame. She hated the fact that they were rustling through Herschel's belongings but they needed a clue on where he went. Looks like Rick thought he found one.
"Hatlon's," Maggie corrected, eyeing Elle with a sour look. "But daddy doesn't drink, ever. He won't be there."
"Something traumatic just happened to your family. He's gonna go back to what he knows best. What he thinks is going to help." Elle shrugged, turning on her foot and walking down the hall.
"Where are you going?" Shane barked.
"To Hatlon's? Thought that was pretty clear," The blonde answered walking away from the group and down the stairs. The clamber of feet soon followed her.
"Stay here with Beth, keep Tucker and Rory with you 'case anything happens." Rick instructed Maggie. "We're gonna go look for your dad."
"Where are you guys going?" Glenn peeked around the corner.
"To the bar."
"Why?" He questioned the blonde girl.
"To party Glenn, seriously?" Elle rolled her eyes as sarcastic venom dripped from her lips. "To look for Herschel."
"Yeah, come on." Rick sighed, gesturing for Glenn and Elle to follow him outside and to the cars.
"And why do we think Herschel is at the bar?" Glenn sputtered, hurrying to catch up with the pair. Elle's blue backpack was all he could see of the girl for she beelined it to the car so quickly.
"He used to be a big drinker, might have reverted back to his old ways." Rick answered, checking the ammo on his gun and opening the door to Carol's Cherokee.
"And Maggie's car is gone, if we don't find him at the bar he might be elsewhere in town." Elle added, grabbing a handful of rounds from the ammo bag and hopping into the car.
"Alright, whatever you say." The boy mumbled, sliding into the backseat with a deep breath. "How long is this ride?" Glenn asked, dreading the awkward silence that swam between him and Elle.
