The Forest West Of The I-89, morningtime...
"You ever gonna wake up?" Elle muttered as she pushed open the spare bedroom that Carl and Tucker inhabited. Though the younger boy had been awake for hours sitting out on the couch with Beth. Tucker however was still fast asleep in the twin bed.
"You sleep like a brick shit house." Elle continued to whisper, hoping her hushed words would keep away the swear police that often was lurking in the house. "Tucker John, wake up." She sang, pulling on the blankets and revealing the lanky teenager.
"Go away, I can literally smell how early it is." Tucker whined, the hoarse voice that he had in the morning on display.
"It's laundry day, you gotta come help hang clothes."
"I'm on bed rest." The blonde boy argued, ready to head back to sleep as he had been doing all the days prior. Sleeping in a bed, unbothered and having breakfast delivered to him? Elle was annoyed he had milked his injury this far.
She knew he probably couldn't do was much as her, but he didn't need his food delivered bedside.
"Nope, I asked Herschel. He said you can hang and fold clothes." Elle clapped her hands, hooking her arm around her brother's elbow and pulling him upright. "Come on, Dale's making breakfast."
Tucker rolled his eyes and slid on his clothes, scanning the floor for his shoes while Elle tossed him his red hat.
"And here I go, out to do laundry when I could be sleeping." Tucker huffed.
"Listen here Shithead, you got to sleep in a real bed for way longer than any of us. No more complaining," Elle finalized, looking at their camp as they made their way into the group.
"Good morning baby!" Andi smiled, wrapping her arms around Tucker. "I'm so glad you're better!"
"Yeah, yeah. Good enough to help with chores apparently." Tuck mumbled as his aunt pulled him tight.
"Mhm, hurt or not you can fold clothes. It ain't strenuous." Rory grinned, ruffling her son's hair.
"I can't believe you guys let me sleep in." Lori whispered, walking in between the group of blondes.
"I mean, I just woke up." Tucker shrugged, grunting when Carol thrusted a basket of damp clothing into his arms.
"You must've needed it," Carol smiled as she dumped the clothespins from her pockets into Tucker's basket.
"Must've," Andi agreed.
"Are you feeling okay?" Carol added.
"Mhm," Lori nodded, unintentionally locking eyes with Elle. The blonde hadn't asked her about the results of her test, or if she had even taken it at all. But she definitely wondered how the brunette mother of one got herself in such a precarious situation. "Next time wake me up, 'specially on laundry day."
