One lunch time...

Anca sits opposite Trev and Raze, watching them work together seamlessly.

Trev assists Raze in everything, like the perfect husband, their connection evident in every gesture.

Anca can't help but feel a pang of jealousy, despite her attempts to hide it. She grits her teeth, silently wrestling with her emotions as she watches them interact, wondering if she'll ever have that same connection with Trev.

Anca: forcing a smile "You two make quite the team."

Raze: glancing over with a smile "Thanks, Anca. Trev and I have been working together for a while now."

Trev: nodding in agreement "Yeah."

Anca: trying to keep her composure "That's great to hear. It's wonderful to see such teamwork."

Raze: noticing Anca's strained expression "Is everything okay, Anca? You seem a bit... tense."

Anca: quickly composing herself "Oh, it's nothing. Just a long day, that's all."

Raze: raising an eyebrow "Are you sure? You seem a bit off."

Anca: forcing another smile "I'm fine, really. Just enjoying the view."

Raze: giving her a concerned look "Well, if you ever need to talk, I'm here for you."

Anca: nodding faintly "Thanks, Raze. I appreciate it."

Inside, Anca's heart ached with longing, wishing she could share the same closeness with Trev that he had with Raze.

As Anca observed Trev and Raze, a pang of jealousy tugged at Anca's heart.

Trev and Raze seemed so comfortable together, their bond unbreakable.

Anca longed for that same closeness with Trev, but she couldn't shake the feeling of being on the outside looking in.

Trev glanced back at Anca, catching her gaze. For a moment, their eyes locked, and Anca could see the flicker of recognition in Trev's expression. He knew she was jealous, and a part of him relished in it.

But beneath the surface, guilt gnawed at Trev's conscience. He knew he shouldn't enjoy Anca's pain, shouldn't revel in the turmoil of their complicated dynamic. Yet, he couldn't deny the thrill that coursed through him at the sight of her longing stares.

As the days passed and Raze's bed rest stretched on, Anca found herself growing bolder in her pursuit of Trev's attention. She sought out opportunities to be alone with him, relishing the stolen moments they shared away from prying eyes.

Anca: leaning in closer to Trev as they work together in the kitchen "You know, Trev, I've been thinking... Maybe we could take a break from all this and go for a walk by the lake. It's such a beautiful day outside."

Trev: glancing up, a hint of surprise in his eyes "Oh, uh, I'm not sure, Anca. We still have a lot to do around here, and I don't want to leave Raze alone for too long."

Anca: smiling sweetly "Don't worry about Raze. She's resting peacefully, and I think she'd want us to enjoy ourselves. Come on, it'll be nice to have a moment alone together."

Trev: hesitating, but ultimately giving in to Anca's suggestion "Alright, just for a little while then. We'll make it quick."

As they slipped out the door and made their way towards the lake, Anca's heart raced with anticipation. She knew she was playing with fire, but in that moment, all she could think about was the warmth of Trev's hand in hers and the thrill of being so close to him.
