I woke up with a groan and I felt like something was lying on me or rather someone. My eyes went to Katherine who was sound asleep on me and I couldn't help the broad smile that filled my lips.

I gently rose as I placed her on the bed and kissed her on the forehead. I don't think I've been as happy as I currently am at the moment.

She was in my arms, I took the time to look at her beautiful face, her full lips that I was tempted to place mine on. I wish I could see those beautiful hazel eyes this close.

My head was banging so I quietly got up so I wouldn't wake her. I noticed she still had her shoes on so I took them off and rubbed her feet as she groaned in satisfaction.

I walked out of the room and then I called room service to get me something for a headache and in a few minutes, aspirin was brought to me.

I took two tablets with water as I rubbed my eyes.

I walked back to my room and Katherine was still sleeping.

I walked into the closet and opened a drawer then I brought out a shiny ring, a ring I had taken this morning.

I hated seeing her with it, so I just took it. I knew if she was awake she'd spend the entire night looking for it.

I held the ring as I just stared at it, I couldn't help but scoff in jealousy, he got to put a ring on her finger first.

In anger I walked out of the closet as I walked to the bathroom, I opened the toilet seat and was about to throw the ring inside but I stopped myself, why was I holding back? I could just flush the goddamn ring and that's all.

But I just couldn't.

I groaned as I covered the ring in my palm, this was so childish, if I wanted to win her back I'd have to make her realize I was the one for her till she removed this ring on her own. Throwing the ring doesn't solve anything.

With a sigh, I walked out of the room to hers and I placed the ring on the floor somewhere she'd find it, I wouldn't be stupid to keep it on the bedside table, that would be too suspicious.

I closed her room door and walked back to mine as I climbed onto the bed with her as I drew her close, you don't expect me to miss this opportunity of sleeping with her, do you, do you think I'd be sleeping on the couch or something? No way, this is my bed after all.

I closed my eyes to have the best sleep after almost a year-long, with the love of my life in my arms.

*****

The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the arms that were tightly wrapped around me and the sweet familiar scent of masculine perfume. I was used to this cologne because I'd spent countless…Wait!

I slowly peeled my eyes open and came face to face with Mr. Vincenzo.

Shit!

What?! I said just for a moment, just for a moment has turned to just for a night.

He was still asleep, I could just sneak out quietly before he woke up.

I slowly pushed his arms trying to get free but they only tightened around me as he muttered something along the lines of ' Just for a minute '

I looked up at him and he still had his eyes closed, come on get your hands off me, man.

I tried again when I heard his voice. His morning voice sounded like sin, if that made sense.

" Don't you know it's rude to wake someone when they're sound asleep," He said as he dropped a kiss on my forehead and my eyes went round in shock.

"Mr. Vincenzo let me go, why am I in your room? Did we…" I gasped as my eyes went to my clothes that were still intact the only thing that was taken off me was my shoes.

" We both know that if we did anything you wouldn't need to ask me, you'd still feel me between your legs," He said with a devilish chuckle and I quickly fought myself out of his hold as I stood.

" We have to be in the conference today sir, I'll get ready," I said as I quickly rushed out of the room and I could feel his eyes on me till I was out the door.

I opened my room door and walked in and I released the breath I didn't know I was holding.

I walked to the bed and sat on it when my eyes caught sight of someone shiny on the floor.

My ring!

I quickly got up from the bed, walked to where it was on the floor, and picked it up. I was so happy and grateful to God that I found it, I didn't even know what I was going to tell Eddy.

I happily put it back on my finger, I'm not taking it off, I'd shower with it, I'm not gonna risk losing it again.

As I looked at the ring I couldn't help but think about the position I just found myself in with Mr. Vincenzo, he said some things that didn't make sense last night, he was drunk and all he said was because of the effect of the alcohol.

Would sleeping on the same bed last night be considered cheating, nothing happened between us.

I instantly made up my mind that until we left this country, my walls would be up and I wouldn't fall for whatever game Mr. Vincenzo was playing.

No, I wouldn't fall for it.

And I mean it.
