Chapter 96-Ruined Plan

I finally retired from work for the day, choosing to go home early so I could make a special dinner for Katherine, anything to get her mind off the chaotic life we've been having.

I shutdown my desktop and stood up as I took my car key and walked out of the office.

I entered the elevator and in no time I was on the ground floor as I walked out of the company and got into my car.

The weather was perfect for a romantic dinner and I knew just the right food to cook.

I parked the car outside the house as I took the bag containing some stuff for her before opening the car door and stepping out.

I walked into the house as I scrolled through my phone seeing missed calls from my sister and I couldn't help but sigh.

I totally forgot to call her, I'll call her when I have time or tomorrow, she's definitely calling to know why she hasn't seen me for days.

“ Hey baby," I was greeted by a sweet voice and I couldn't help but smile as I turned to the sitting room where Katherine was seated with a blanket covering her.

I walked to her and her eyes went to the bag in my hand.

“ Did you get me something?" She asked as I went to sit beside her.

“ No, it's not for you, it's for my girlfriend," I said as she folded her hands looking at me with a raised brow.

“ I wonder who this girlfriend is, must be really lucky,"

" Very,” I said with a chuckle.

“ Come on, gimme that, what's in the bag?” She asked and I happily handed her the bag.

" Whoah,” She said with a chuckle as her eyes looked inside the bag before looking at me with a smirk.

" Chocolate and red lingerie, I understand that, wanna tell me what the handcuffs are for?” She asked as she looked up at me knowingly.

" Well, I like to show rather than tell, at the right time you'll know, but I have a feeling you already know what that is for," I said.

“ Well, thank you kind sir," she said.

" You must be hungry, let me make dinner for us,” I said as I got up.

" Just relax and I'll go to the kitchen like the best man in that world that I am and make you dinner,” I said and she chuckled looking up at me.

" Who said you were…okay fine you're the best man in the world don't look at me like that," She said as she raised her hands in surrender because of the glare I passed her way.

“ Good girl," I said as I winked at her before walking to the kitchen.

I brought out everything I'll be needing to make pasta and soon I started chopping the vegetables.

I was still cooking when I heard the doorbell ringing.

Must be one of the securities.

I dropped the knife I was holding and walked to the door to get it but as I opened it I was shocked at who was standing there.

“ Anna? What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise. Instead of answering she just rolled her eyes and walked in.

“ You seem to forget you're my brother and I know you like the back of my hand, I knew you were coming here,” She said with a shrug.

“ That's not even why I'm here, dad has been asking after you and I told him you had something very important at work to do but he kept insisting he wants to see you, I'm tired of covering for you, he wants to have breakfast with you tomorrow. If you had just picked my calls I wouldn't have had to come here, by the way where's Katherine?” She asked and I pointed towards the sitting room.

" Katherine!” She called in a singsong voice before rushing over to her. Now my romantic dinner was ruined.

“ Anna?" Katherine asked, surprised to see her.

I turned to the two women before walking back to the kitchen to finish up what I was doing.

The dinner ended up being for three of us and when we were done eating, Anna decided to spend the night and I couldn't argue, after all this was also her house.

“ Is there something wrong? Why did she have to come here so late?" Katherine asked as I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me.

“ My father, he's in Italy now and from what she said he has been asking about me, he wants me at home for breakfast tomorrow, so there's no problem, there's nothing for you to worry about," I said and she nodded.

" Let's go to sleep, I had such a tiring day,” I said as I removed the towel around my waist and got into bed.

" Good night baby,” She said.

" Good night my love.”

" I don't think there's a need to take me along, I'm sure your dad wants family time and I don't want to ruin that,” I said to Luca, who kept insisting that I follow him to the other mansion for breakfast.

“ But you're my family," he said with a pout and I felt my heart blossom with warmth.

“ Stop, you're being a baby, just go already, Anna is waiting downstairs for you," I said and he groaned before he lifted me and walked out of the room.

“ I thought like always you guys would be staying up there forever," Anna said with an eye roll as soon as she saw us.

“ Blame it on your brother, not me,” I said.

" Let's go already, dad must be waiting,” Anna said as Luca walked me to the sitting room and gently dropped me on the couch.

“ Well, since you don't wanna come with me, I'll see you later," he said before dropping a kiss on my lips and getting up.

As soon as he got up and took the first step my phone started ringing. I picked the call seeing it was a call from the police.

I answered and placed the phone to my ear.

“ Hello,"

“ Hello Miss Westbrook, you're not gonna like this,"
