I couldn't help but think back on her words as I walked towards Mr. Vincenzo, he was talking and laughing with his friend not knowing someone just left my mind in confusion about him.

What was my business with what she said? I did not have anything whatsoever to do with Mr. Vincenzo so there is nothing to worry myself about.

But the words ' The rest of us' wouldn't leave my mind, I was tempted to walk to her and make her tell me everything, I wanted to know what she meant.

" Hey you're back, took quite a while," Mr. Vincenzo said as soon as I reached him.

" Yeah," That was what I simply said.

" Hey, are you okay? You look like something is bothering you," He said and I shook my head telling him everything was fine.

His friends tried to sway him to go out for a drink again but I'm sure Mr. Vincenzo knew I wouldn't be up for anything tonight so he declined, he didn't even bother asking me.

We both got into the car and the driver started the car driving us back to the hotel.

" It was quite a tiring day right?" Mr Vincenzo asked, trying to make small talk but I was seriously not in the mood.

" Yeah," I simply said as I turned my face away from him so he'd know the last thing I wanted to do right now was to talk.

When the driver parked outside the hotel we both stepped out and Mr. Vincenzo started walking towards the entrance but I didn't move from my spot. He quickly noticed and stopped, then he turned to look at me in question.

" If you don't mind, I'd like to take a walk before calling it a night," I said.

" Okay, I can come with you,"

" No you don't have to, you must be ready tired after the conference so you should go in first, I'll join you later," I said,

" No, I don't think that's a good idea, this is a new city to you, you've never been here and if I let you go alone I'll be worried, let's just go together, come on," He said as he started walking and I didn't have a choice but to follow him.

So much for wanting some peace and quiet.

" So how do you see the city?" Mr. Vincenzo definitely has a problem with knowing when someone wants to be alone either that or he was doing this on purpose.

" It's nice, we've been busy with work and all, and we're not here for fun we're here to work,"

" Well, coming from someone who wanted to burn down my company I'd say that's impressive." He said and I couldn't help but chuckle.

" What do you mean? Why would I want to burn down your company, I don't think I wanna go to jail," I said and he laughed.

" Well not literally but you look like you'd gladly do it if given the opportunity," He said

" Well now that you've mentioned it I might consider doing that," I said and threw his head back in laughter.

" No, I don't think you can,"

" Well try me,"

******

For the first time in a very long time, my heart felt light like I didn't have something blocking me and stopping me from breathing properly.

" You don't look like that type of person," I said,

" Well looks can be quite deceiving you know," She said as she turned to me.

" Well, I still believe you're…"

" Oh look, a claw machine, let's try," She said as she held my hand and was about to walk to the machine but she stopped and quickly released my hand.

" Sorry, there's no need for that, let's just return to the hotel," She said as she turned around but I placed my hand on her head and turned her around.

" You wanted to play, why did you change your mind?" I could buy her the machine if she wanted, she looked so happy when she saw the machine then suddenly she changed her mind.

" I seriously don't want to, let's go back please," I didn't argue with her this time, I just turned around as we both started walking to the hotel.

I noticed that she was rubbing her arms trying to warm herself so I removed my jacket and handed it to her but she wouldn't be Katherine if she didn't refuse it.

" Take it,"

" No there's no need sir, we're almost at the hotel," She said as she hugged herself.

" I insist," I said but she shook her head so I took matters into my own hands as I placed the jacket on her without warning, she tried to remove it but I glared at her.

" Thank you, sir," She mumbled, and we walked in comfortable silence back to the hotel.

When we got to our suite she handed me back my suit jacket as she said a 'thank you' before walking into her room.

I couldn't help but notice the change in her mood.

Did I say something to hurt her last night? I shook my head dismissing the thought as I walked into my room and straight to the bathroom.

You know I used to think showering in a different bathroom would take the thoughts of Katherine out of my mind, but these few days in New Jersey proved me wrong and it didn't help that we were under the same roof.

After my shower, I dried myself and got dressed in pajamas as I fell on my bed in exhaustion.

There were a few calls and messages from my sister, I'd have to take care of them tomorrow, I was too tired to do that right now.

Just when I closed my eyes trying to fall asleep I heard something like someone sniffing, no, not sniffing, crying.

I quickly got up from my bed and walked out of my room as I walked towards Katherine's room, as I got closer to her door it got clearer that someone was indeed crying.

Why would she be crying?

Did I do something wrong?
