Chapter 71- Menacing

" Oh, hello Sir, I came into the room and nobody was here with her, I just came to give her the last shot for the night and then I'll be gone," She was lying, I just knew it.

Katherine has a nurse whom I specifically requested for because I was told she was the best in the hospital and secondly the doctor said she wasn't supposed to receive any form of medication until tomorrow not to mention that he said she wasn't supposed to take any medication once it's past 10:00 pm, so who the fuck was this woman?

The woman flicked the needle as bent to inject Katherine.

“ I'm going to ask you for the last time…” I said and she froze as she turned to look at me.

" Who…The…Fuck…Are… You?"

“ Sir, I'm…” I didn't let her finish what she wanted to say as my hand wrapped around her neck and the syringe she was holding fell from her hand.

“ You think I'm stupid? Didn't you look at the time before walking in here and think you could just give a shitty story of you being a nurse, you think I'm dumb you stupid bitch,” I said in a menacing voice as my hand tightened around her.

She tried to pry my hands off but I held the back of her neck and dragged her out of the room.

As soon as I closed the door behind me I threw her on the floor.

“ Sir, you're getting it all wrong, I'm not lying it's just the last shot to make her sleep better, I'm going to go call the doctor so he can explain it to you better,” She said as she tried to stand up.

“ No you don't," I pushed her back down.

" I wasn't trying to poison her,”

" I never said you were,” I said as I gave her a deadly look and brought out my phone from my pocket.

“ Doctor Leo, I'd like you to come to my girlfriend's room, make sure to bring security along, well, it seems you might be needing better security for this hospital," I said before ending the call.

The fake nurse on the looked around looking for an escape way out, but there was no way for her, she signed her own misfortune the moment she walked into that room.

She quickly got up and was about to run but I was prepared, I held her by the hair and pulled her right back.

“ I thought you said you were just here to give her the last shot to make her sleep better? Why are you suddenly running? Hmm, okay, okay, now I believe you, you're here to just give her a shot, you look stressed right now, how about I give you the shot to make you sleep better?" Immediately those words left my mouth she started struggling.

If I had any doubts before, her reaction confirmed that she was indeed sent to kill Katherine, sent to kill my woman.

The popular opinion of ‘never touch a woman’ flew out of my head and before I could think it I was holding her hair tightly like I wanted to pull it out of her skull.

“ Stop! Please stop!" She screamed.

“ You were about to kill someone, did you think about stopping for once?"

“ Mr. Vincenzo! What's going on here?" I heard the doctor's voice and I released her before I threw her to the floor again.

“ Do you know this woman?" I asked the doctor.

He turned to look at the woman on the floor then turned back to me.

“ Yes, she's a junior nurse in the hospital," She's a nurse in this hospital?

“ Did you by any chance ask her to give my girlfriend any injection?" I asked and doctor Leo turned to the cowering woman on the floor.

“ No, I specifically said…”

" I know what you said doctor, that's why I'm wondering why I'll walk into my girlfriend's room and see someone trying to inject something into her, mind telling us what that was?"

" What?! What were you trying to give to the patient?” The doctor asked looking panicked.

" Nothing sir, nothing,” She still dared to lie, I swear if she utters one more word I'm going to break her fucking head.

“ What were you doing in the room in the first place? Why were you there?” I didn't have time for this rubbish, I wanted this woman behind bars immediately.

“ Nothing sir, I'm innocent," The audacity of this woman.

“ Watch her, if she gets away I'll make sure to close down this hospital," I said and the doctor's eyes immediately filled with fear.

I walked back into Katherine's room and thankfully she was still sleeping.

I quickly dropped a kiss on her lips as I picked the syringe that fell from the nurse's hand and walked out the door closing it behind me.

“ This was what she tried to inject into my girlfriend's body," I said as I gave it to the doctor.

The doctor took the syringe from me and brought it closer to his eyes as he adjusted his glasses then he brought it to his nose and his eyes immediately went round as he turned to the woman in shock.

“ Bot…bo..bo…botulinum toxin? How did you get a hold of this?” He asked in shock as he held the syringe like it would suddenly kill him.

" I wasn't wrong, she was trying to kill my girlfriend,” I gave a dangerous laugh as I squatted to her level on the floor.

" What were you thinking when you walked into that door? That you wouldn't be caught, is that it?” I said as I patted her head with a sadistic smile on my face.

When it comes to someone threatening my woman's life I became a whole new person and right now this woman in front of me was nothing.

“ If there's one thing people know about me is that I'm a man of my words, and I'm promising you right now that I'll make the rest of your life a living hell, but I'll make it less hell if you tell me who sent you.” I said and she shook her head.

She was making it hard for herself, not like there was a way out for her.

“ I'm going to try again, who sent you?” I asked her and she still shook her head.

She leaves me no choice.

“ Take her away," I said and the security men immediately held her up and she started crying and struggling.

“ No, no, please, no," No amount of pleading was going to save her.

“ Her sister! Her sister sent me,"

I stopped in my tracks.
