Chapter 70- Chocolate

True to his words when I woke up Luca was still in the hospital room and I couldn't help but smile at him as I watched him busy himself with work.

He hadn't noticed I was awake.

“ Take a picture, it lasts longer," Okay I spoke too soon.

“ You're still here," I said.

" Did you forget I said I'll be here when you wake up, you know you should really be happy, you woke up to see such a handsome face, no other woman has that privilege,” He said and I couldn't help my laughter.

" What time is it?” I asked and he looked at his wrist watch.

" It's 8:16 pm," he said.

“ That's late, why can't I still feel my legs?” I felt like the lower part of my body was missing, the feeling was strange.

" It's going to take time to heal honey and that's why the doctor said you should avoid using them, not like I'm going to be letting you use them.” He said as he dropped his laptop and walked to me.

" Look honey…"

“ Why do you keep calling me honey?"

“ My love it is then,"

“ What?"

“ Maybe you don't like me calling you honey, then I'll call you my love,"

“ That's making it worse," I said as I bit my lower lips and looked down.

“ Making what worse?" He asked and I remained quiet. How can I tell him that merely calling me ‘honey’ was making me embarrassingly wet even though I was in the hospital?

" It's nothing," I said but my voice betrayed me.

“ Nothing?" He asked and I knew he had picked on to what was wrong with me.

“ Are you wet?" He shamelessly asked me.

“ Luca! Stop I'm not, and besides I looked ugly right now,"

“ Is something wrong with you Katherine or it's the drug messing with you?" He asked and when I turned to look at him he had a warning in his eyes.

“ Don't ever call my woman ugly for any reason, she's the most beautiful soul I've ever seen, so don't you dare, are we clear?"

“ Yes daddy," I swear I didn't know when it came out of my mouth.

“ How can you be so tempting even in the hospital, you know what is saving your pussy from being sore right now is the fact that you're hurt, when you get better we shall be discussing this,” He said and I couldn't help but chuckle.

“ You talk too dirty,"

“ If it makes your pussy wet I don't think I wanna change that," He said with a wink and I rolled my eyes.

“ By the way, where is Debbie and Jordan?” I asked.

“ I told them to leave that's you're in good hands,"

" And they believed you?”

" Why won't they? I'm handsome,'' he said as he wiggled his eyebrows at him. So he thought they let him stay with me cause he's handsome?

“ I don't know what type of medication they gave to me but I'm feeling sleepy again," I said.

“ Don't fight it, go to sleep, I'm still going to be here,"

“ Okay, I want chocolate please, thank you," I said as I closed my eyes trying to get some sleep as Luca ran his fingers through my hair.

She was so beautiful, I don't think I'll ever get tired of staring at her. I'm sure the medication they gave to her was to make her take enough rest so we wouldn't stress any muscle.

She was in this condition because I wasn't by her side, and that's why I'm not taking anything that concerns her lightly anymore.

I made that mistake of letting her down once, it's not going to happen.

She was asleep but I couldn't bring myself to stand up, it was like her beauty glued me to where I was sitting.

Chocolate.

I remember her saying she wanted that.

I would quickly get that for her and be back, I didn't want to ask anyone to get it for her, it was chocolate for my woman so I wanted to pick the best and I wanted to do it by myself.

I drew the covers up her body but yet I couldn't bring myself to stand up, it was like I wanted to crawl into the bed and draw her close.

I finally brought myself to stand up as I walked to the door. I looked at her one last time before walking out of the door and closing it behind me.

I walked out of the hospital and got into my car as I drove off.

It was almost 11:00 pm and some of the stores were closed but I knew I was going to find a twenty four hour store.

After driving for some time I finally found one and I parked my car outside and walked into the store.

I started looking through the shelves thinking of which one to pick. I don't know what chocolate is her favorite, there are a lot of her favorites I didn't know but no worries that is going to change soon when she moves in with me.

When I was done picking enough chocolates, don't ask me how many, she said she wanted chocolate she didn't specify how many or what type.

I paid for the chocolates and took the bag as I walked out of the store.

I got into my car and dropped the bag on the passenger's seat then I started the car and drove off.

Within thirty minutes I was back in the hospital. I'm hoping she isn't awake yet.

“ Mr. Vincenzo,” I heard someone call my name and I turned to see Katherine's doctor.

" Yes doctor Leo, how may I help you?" I asked as he came to stand in front of me.

“ I just wanted to personally thank you for choosing our hospital, we're honored,” So this was what he stopped me for?

I know what he was looking for and I didn't have time for that.

“ As long as you're taking care of my girlfriend properly I don't have a problem,"

“ Of course, of course, we give the best services," He said as he gave me a smile like it was part of the services they rendered.

“ Excuse me, I have to go now?”

" Oh, of course,” He said before moving from my way and I gave him a nod before walking away.

I walked to Katherine's room and just as I reached the door my phone started vibrating in my pocket but I ignored it.

I opened Katherine's room door and immediately stopped in my tracks.

“ Who the fuck are you?"
