The next day Ikzo did have some responsibilities to catch up on so I was left to entertain myself. Moreover, I was left with Pher.

He was there in the morning to remind me of how stupid my suicide mission was. I ignored that. They could believe it was dumb all they wanted. It wouldn't change my mind. I just needed to make up a good plan. It was hard with them watching my mind.

Pher didn't suggest to go anywhere, just used his time watching me so he could try and embarrass me. It was harder with him, he didn't respect my request when I asked him to get out of my head. No instead he teased me about how he couldn't tell Ikzo anything if he did that.

I was able to avoid him when I was done eating. Once I was in my room they deemed that a safe area for me. Phers words. Unfortunately that could only last so long. I cringed internally when my stomach growled.

Maybe Ikzo is done with whatever he had to deal with, I though half hopeful.

My hope was squashed when I walked out and spotted Pher. I huffed and started to walk past him.

"Rude too." He commented keeping up with me easily, "Ikzo should be done by your dinner time by the way."

That was better.

He snorted, "I don't know why you don't just admit you like him."

"Can we pick a new topic?"

"No." He denied, "Honestly it is fun to watch your reactions, much more expressive than what I've seen before."

Because you're used to aliens expressions, better concealed when they're used to you reading their mind.

"True." He agreed to my thought, "However Ikzo is my friend. And you're not too bad to be around. On occasion."

Real charmer.

"With Occollan women yes."

I rolled my eyes, picking out which food I wanted.

"As I was saying, I'm interested to know because I care for my friend. And it is intriguing, the way you fight yourself. It's not usually like that."

For you.

"Maybe."

I moved to my usual seat, "Oh look, Ikzo told me about you having this." He went for my gun and I jerked away from him.

"What are you doing?"

I had left my hoodie in my room today. The estate was a bit warmer than usual and I didn't see the need to hide it anymore. Pher or Ikzo were still guarded about me fleeing so as long as they were near the others wouldn't try. My hoodie was unnecessary now.

"I want to see."

"No way." I denied.

"I won't shoot it." He read my thoughts. With his previous actions, and nonreaction to being hit with Heaven knew what while in space, I didn't trust that statement.

He reached for it again. "I will break your nose." I shot a glare to him.

"Alright fine. I'll get to see it one day." He settled across from me.

"You have guns. Go play with those."

"Not like that." He corrected.

I remembered what theirs looked like. It wasn't too different.

"Anyway back to my original plans." He brought the conversation back to Ikzo, "How come you don't just tell him you like him?"

"Why would I have to when you're going to gossip like old biddies later?" I threw back.
