"Just there and back then we can do something else." Ikzo promised.

I kept my pace even with his as we left the estate, shrugging a bit, "That's fine."

The day after I finally gave into my desire Ikzo told me he had to drop by the main meeting area located in the city to retrieve some files that had been prepared. He said I could join him to pick them up and I agreed. Now we walked down the street to collect them. He had to drop them back off at his personal office before we could go anywhere else after that.

He led the way and I started to recognize where I was going. It was the building he was coming out of when I first arrived back. It was daytime so there we more people walking up and down the street. Like last time I moved closer to Ikzo. It was a more natural action now, when I had done it the first time I was practically forced to.

He glanced down at me and I sent a small smile, turning my body to avoid bumping into another person. His hand moved to my waist, pulling me to him so I was flush against his side. It was in the same moment someone else got too close but even as they passed he didn't let go. I didn't complain.

He guided us inside, passing a woman at the front who started at me like she was seeing I new creature. I hadn't seen that look in a while. It happened a few times when I first arrived but the few areas I went to now weren't crowded or contained the normal people I saw.

I gazed around the building. It was several stories tall, the other floors visible as we moved past the entry way. The doors above actually had little landings and walkways. There were no stairs to get to them but it was definitely more than the structure of the green peoples building. The lights reflected off the bright colors.

He pulled me onto one of the elevator-like platform and I watched as bars came out of the flat base. They only wrapped around three quarters of the way but it was enough to ensure no one could fall easily.

"Is this where you always meet?" I asked as the platform rose.

"Yes," He looked down to me, "Usually it's just the Hye Jish's but sometimes it's the current leader of Occolla."

The elevator moved us up a floor and to the second door. I stepped off right after he did.

"So what are you picking up today?"

I watched as he opened the door. It was a large meeting room with several screens on the desk. He walked towards the head of the table.

"Land agreements that have been completed. I still need to approve them before any actions can take place."

I nodded, leaning against the side of the table as he picked up the screen. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny square device. It clicked magnetically to the side of the now glowing screen.

My gaze moved off of the device, using his moment of distraction to run my eyes over him again. He was well built, filled out with muscles that shifted as he moved around. His shoulders were broad, his collarbones visible near his smooth neck. I skimmed over his features. He stood tall near the desk, his face holding a serious expression as he let the screens brightness light up his sharp features.

Staring at him made me think back to our kiss. It was so much different than the first one. The first time he was hesitant, I was shocked. Everything was slow and unsure. The second time was like the fire that usually is at a simmer within me burst into wild flames. It was intense and both of us tried to press closer, to be wholly consumed in the feeling.

I liked it. Much more than the first time.

"I can hear your thoughts."

"Ikzo!" I scolded.
