Despite my best efforts I was never able to fall asleep with Ikzo near. I tried to finally rest when we got on the ship but he wouldn't stop moving. I wanted to complain but didn't have the energy. Everything hurt and I felt lightheaded.

Then as we arrived to what I assumed to be there version of a hospital he proceeded to carry me in while snapping at some doctor who was talking to a nurse.

While I knew some of the words they were saying they were talking too fast for me to comprehend anything. Ikzo carried me into a room, even after I was sure the doctor asked him to put me down. He brought me to a navy-blue chair that looked like it belonged in a dentist office before placing me on it.

I spent several minutes explaining what hurt as the doctor applied pressure to my abdomen. They had to take a blood sample before they could provide any medicine.

Ikzo explained that they had to make sure the medication would be compatible with human blood to lower risks of negative reaction. The test didn't take long then within a few minutes I was hooked up to some weird looking IV.

"Your incision will require mending," The doctor started pulling out his tools, "It will not hurt because you are already on pain relievers."

I nodded but didn't watch what he was doing. I didn't want to see him pushing and pulling anything though my skin. He leaned my chair back and I turned my head away when I felt him wiping at the area.

Ikzo was sitting to my left, his hand holding mine still. He was adamant on not leaving the room and I was perfectly fine with that.

"The others are waiting outside." He spoke to keep my attention.

"And they're okay?"

I was stunned when Ikzo said that Halso had survived. I really thought when Straxium shot her he had killed her. I was relieved that wasn't true. I saw the others by the door when Ikzo found me as well. I didn't know what they had to do to get in.

"Yes." He kept his purple eyes on my face, "They weren't in any danger."

"You didn't get hurt did you?" I asked. I didn't see any wounds on him but I wanted to be sure.

"No." He shook his head. The look on his face told me what he never would. That he thought it was his fault. He was guilty.

"Ikzo this isn't your fault." I said.

His eyes flickered to my abdomen. I couldn't feel anything the doctor was doing now but I knew he was still stitching me up.

"We can talk about that later." He looked back to me.

Yes we will, I thought.

He sent me a look that told me he was in my mind. I didn't try to defend anything. It was ridiculous that he blamed himself.

Straxium was at fault. He was the one who took me first and couldn't let it go that I escaped. It was his own doing when he ignored Ikzo's order and continued to try and get to me. He chose to escape and find me again. He chose to hurt me. Not Ikzo.

Ikzo pulled his gaze away from my face again. I knew he heard what I thought but he chose not to comment. I know he was upset that I got hurt but it wasn't anyone's blame to take but Straxium's.

"You will need to change this bandage every few hours to begin with." The doctor's voice made me look towards him, "For your other injuries rest and pain medication will be required."

I went to say thank you but Ikzo spoke first, "What are her limitations?"

"Do not lift anything over ten pounds. Avoid standing for long periods of time or walking extensively. Within the next 192 starpasses keep your fluid levels higher than normal. You will want to sleep more, which is granted considering your recovery. The medication will encourage this however as your wounds heal try to go back to your regular schedule."
