After another exhausting day, I enter the car and notice a sleeping Lucas. The car starts moving. To pass the time, I answer some emails on my phone, when I feel Lucas's head on my shoulder. He looks so cute asleep-not that he doesn't when he's awake-but he just looks innocent.
I end up checking my emails the whole ride back home and only realize we've reached when the driver says so. Now I'm wondering how to wake Lucas up.
"Lucas?" I carefully tap his cheek whispering softly. He groans but still doesn't wake up.
"Lucas, we're here. Come on, you gotta get up."
"Let me sleep," he says in his raspy, sleepy voice, hiding his face in my shoulder, his warm breath tickling my neck.
"Sleep in the room, Lucas." He grunts again, finally waking up. His face is flushed, and a cute pout adorns his face.
"I hate you," he says sleepily and gets out of the car. Ooh, he so doesn't like waking up. I get out of the car too and follow him to our penthouse for the time being . He sleepily walks to the elevator, his hair a hot mess, and his sleepwalk is just so cute. We both get in the elevator, and I press our floor, standing next to him, when he pulls me by my waist, wraps his arms around my shoulders, holding me in place, and rests his head on top of mine.
"Do you think my head is a stand for yours?" I ask sarcastically.
"Hmm, let me sleep," he whispers, making me smile.
The elevator doors open, and I randomly pat his face to wake him up.
"Get off me." By the time he gets up, the elevator doors close and it moves downward. I glare up at him.
"Cool, I get two more minutes."
"Lucas!" I yell.
"Hush," he pats my cheek. What did I get myself into?
The elevator opens, and Katie stands in front of us next to Eli. She glares at Lucas and me as soon as she enters. So I assume she heard from Mabel.
"Aww, you guys are so cute. Let me take a pic!" "Eli, NO," I yell, but when has he ever listened to me? I groan.
"Stop moving, bro," Lucas comments.
"Shut up. This is your fault in the first place," I say grumpily.
"Well, technically, it's his parents' fau-" I slap him before he can finish the sentence.
"Oww, not fair." He finally decides to open his eyes and look around.
"Yay, bestie," Eli mumbles.
"I'm not your bestie."
"Yeah, 'cause she's mine," Lucas says, resting his hand on my shoulder, so I stab him lightly with my elbow in his stomach.
