Leonard Streeter let out a disgruntled sigh as he stared at his ashy knuckles. He wore the typical orange jumpsuit and his wrist were bound by cuffs. He was currently awaiting his meeting with the DA. His sudden arrest had plunged him into public scrutiny and the people were not on his side. His false sense of security had been shattered right before his eyes. People no longer looked at him as an adoring pastor. They looked at him like the criminal he was.
"Well don't you just look like a ray of sunshine this morning," Viola Whitman's red bottoms clashed against the cold floor, echoing off the barren walls as she made her grand entrance.
"You're a real cornball," Leonard glared at her, as she took a seat at the chair across from him.

"Takes one to know one," Viola faked a smile, opening up her small black briefcase which held a stack of files and paperwork.
"When will my bail be approved?" Leonard questioned, intertwining his calloused fingers.
Viola looked up from the files before her, her expression unreadable as she stared him dead in the eye. "Your bail will not be approved. Judge Hawthorne considers you a threat. So you can tell your lawyer to stop filing bail requests cause it's not happening," she spoke through tight lips.
