The future lyrics blasted in Woody's headphones as he walked the halls of First Colony Mall with his family. They were doing last minute Christmas shopping, a tradition they had no intention of breaking.
"Woody! Woody!"
He looked down to see his nine year old sister Harmony tugging at his Nike hoodie. "Harmony stop," he shooed her away, not in the mood to be bothered.
His mother Regina snatched the headphones out of his ear. "This is a family outing. Put the headphones away, and don't shoo your sister like that!" she scolded, giving him a stern look.
"But ma-"
"But nothing," Regina cut him off. "You're already on thin ice. Don't push me," she warned, grabbing Harmony's hand.
"Listen to your mother Wood," his father Dennis chipped in, nudging him.
Woody's shoulders slumped in defeat as he closed out Spotify on his phone. He'd been in the hot seat at home ever since his STD results were outed on social media, reaching his parents. It shattered their view of him in so many ways. Well mostly his mother that is. Regina still couldn't fathom her precious baby boy being sexually active, but Woody had her fooled all along.
