Another weekend had passed and another dreadful Monday had rolled around as the students and staff of Barrymore High School found themselves dragging inside of the poster covered hallways. Exhaustion was evident on the faces of many while excitement was rumbling from some due to the announcement of Homecoming. As usual the hallways were buzzing with early morning gossip.
"Wayment so Quavo's other chick caught him with Stacey and they got into it, and she broke up with him, after throwing her drink at the girl and kicking him in his dusty balls?" Kehlani said in one breathe, sipping on her orange juice.
"Girl yes. Woody had it all on Snapchat." Ebony confirmed, opening up her carton of strawberry milk. The two girls sat in the middle of the cafeteria, catching up on the latest tea, while eating breakfast.
"That's craaaazy." Kehlani threw her head back in laughter. "But I'm so glad his bum ass got caught. When I saw him with ole girl in the tattoo shop that day, I wanted to tell her then, but I restrained myself because I don't know Stacey like that. But like my grandma says, what's done in the dark, always comes to the light." She snapped her fingers for emphasis.
Ebony nodded in agreement. "Health class should be pretty interesting today. I think we're gonna be trying on the pregnancy vests today." She informed, biting into her French toast.
"I remember trying one of those in 7th grade. It was so heavy and right after I took it off, I had to go pee." Kehlani giggled, recalling the distant memory.
Her giggling came to a screeching halt when she saw August parade his way to their table, sitting a seat away from her. How Kehlani was looking:

"What ya lookin' at?" August broke the silence.
"Out of all the tables in this cafeteria, you just had to sit here?" Kehlani clasped her hands together, an irritated scowl plastered on her face.
