"Nobody wins when the family feuds."- Jay-Z
✨Omniscient✨
Girl, you know I I I I love you
No matter what you do
And I hope you understand me
Every word I say is true
Cause I love you"Baby, I'm thinkin of you. Tryin to be more of a man for you. And I don't have much riches. But we gonna see it through," Chris sung along to Lenny Williams classic heartbreak song Cause I Love You, taking a deep sip of henny from the bottle.
He sat in the middle of the floor in his room, surrounded by complete darkness.
It was him and his demons. Colliding head on.
The past few weeks of his life had been nothing short of tumultuous. From catching Vanessa cheating on him in Atlanta, to accidentally discovering that Trey had been sleeping with his fiancé and that he was Royalty's real father. But the icing on the cake was Robyn stumbling across the picture that opened up a can of worms that made it unbearable for Chris to look at himself in the mirror.
He couldn't help but to wonder where did he go wrong? How did he not see any of this tragedy coming?
A couple months ago, everything in his life was perfect. He had the perfect family. Multiple sources of income. Loyal friends. The person many looked up to. And in the snap of a finger, it all changed overnight.
Now he sat in his room, drowning in his sorrows and drinking to conceal over his pain. He couldn't even push himself to get out of the bed.
Knock! Knock!
Chris remained in the same staunch position, already knowing it was August who was at his door.
"Chris open up the door!" August demanded, banging on it again. Chris had been locked up in his room for the past few days, and August had enough of his cousin wallowing in self pity and sorrow.
Chris simply ignored him, taking another swig from his bottle of henny.
"He gon hate me for this," August sighed deeply, before kicking the door down, almost knocking it off the hinges.
"What the fuck!" Chris yelled, wiping his mouth. "You know how much that door cost?!" He looked at August in disbelief.
"I'm not about to watch you drink your life away," August walked up to his cousin, snatching the bottle of Hennessy from him. He ran to the bathroom, pouring it into the bathroom sink.
