"When are we going to be able to meet them, son? It's been a week." My mother complained. I had just got home from spending the morning with Jordan and the twins and lo and behold, my mother was sitting on my couch in the living room, waiting for me to come home. I almost pulled my gun out on her until I noticed who she was.
I sighed and shook my head knowing this was coming. "I know mamá but they need time. A lot is changing in their lives at the moment and they're just now starting to get comfortable with me around." I explained to my frustrated mother as she simply just rolled her eyes at me.
"I know, I'm sorry son. I'm just eager, you know? We've all been searching for them for five whole years and they're finally here, son." She voiced desperately as I put my bags down by the front door and sat next to her on the couch. Her accent as strong as ever.
"It's alright ma, I understand how your feeling, I felt the same way." I sympathized. My mother turned towards me, locking her bright green eyes with mine as her dark brown hair mixed with silver strands was tied in a tight bun on the top of her head.
"What are they like?" She asked me. I simply smiled at the question, happy to answer.
"They're opposites....Bellamy is the shy but very straightforward one while Bay is very much bossy and silly at times, though they're both very affectionate when they're comfortable with you." I concluded as my mother smiled at me smiling. Like I said before, I rarely smile but ever since I found out about my daughters and Jordan, I can't seem to stop. "This morning I decided to make breakfast for us all before Jordan woke up and I had the twins help me. Bay was bossing me around telling me where everything was while Bellamy helped cut the fruit because she said I wasn't doing it right." I added as I chuckled fondly at the recent memory.
"Bay seems like a character, but more like you when it comes to the bossy part, though Bellamy is sounding a bit bossy too." She laughed.
"Yeah I can be pretty bossy." I agreed as I shook my head at the similarity between my daughters and I.
"How's everything going with the mother? How's she taking all of this change?" She asked curiously just like my sister did a couple days ago.
My eyes sparkled before I responded. "Like a saint. Very understanding, she has her moments where she doesn't trust me which is completely understandable considering what I do for a living but also because I am just a random man who showed up in not just her life but her kids' lives too. So to be as understanding and as amiable as her is admirable. She's not only a good person but a good mother to them as well. I'm glad my girls got the mother they deserved." I rambled as I praised how great Jordan is to my mother. Mamá smiled bright, bigger than I've seen before, which honestly had me a little confused.
"Perchè sorridi cos, mamá [Why are you smiling like that, mom]?" I uttered. "It's a little creepy." I voiced as my eyebrows furrowed.
"La donna è attraente [Is the woman....attractive]?" She slyly questioned me, giving me a smug smile.
