"Where are you going, mommy?" Bellamy anxiously asked with a flat tone to her voice as she watched her mother get ready to leave out the door. She hates when her mother leaves her for any period of time, that's another reason why Bellamy hates going to school but most times she's able to handle it. Though for some reason—today just wasn't her day.

"I have to go to the doctor's, Bella. I told you this yesterday but I have a check up appointment, remember?" Jordan hesitated as her eyebrows knitted. Bellamy slowly nodded her head as she recalled her mother telling her this yesterday.

"It shouldn't take too long, and when I get home we can decorate all the cookies and the gingerbread houses together, okay?" Jordan said to her as she grabbed her purse and keys. Giovanni and Bay had already said goodbye to Jordan as they're now eating breakfast in the kitchen. It was only Bellamy who was extra worried today and Jordan didn't understand why. Usually, Bellamy is okay with Jordan leaving and coming back but today was different and as a mother, Jordan picked up on it.

"What time will you be back?" Bella nervously asked as she looked at the clock hung up on the wall above her. Jordan looked at the clock and saw that it was eight in the morning.

"Maybe an hour or two?" Jordan guessed.

Bellamy didn't necessarily like that answer and began to tug on her ear. "I need an exact time, mommy. I don't like to guess." She directly expressed with a pout on her face.

Jordan turned to face her daughter when she heard the tone in her voice change and stopped to kneel down to Bellamy's level as she saw how stressed her daughter was getting over this. "Stop tugging at your ear, Bella. You'll hurt yourself." She said softly.

At her mothers voice, Bellamy slowly let go of her ear and looked at her mom's neck. "I'm sorry, mommy." She apologized.

"No need to be sorry, Bella." Jordan reassured her daughter with a kiss to her forehead. "I should be back around ten thirty at the latest, okay?" Jordan swore.

"Pinky promise?" Bellamy asked as she held up her pinky.

"Pinky promise, Bella." Jordan affirmed her as she locked pinky's with her daughter before she let go.

"I love you, mommy. Be home by ten thirty." She demanded, causing Jordan to smile at her behavior.

"I love you too, Bella." Jordan replied as she walked out the door but not without giving her daughter another kiss on her forehead and cheek.

"Thank you for squeezing me in on Christmas Eve. I know it was very last minute and unfair. I've just been really concerned and don't know what else to do." Jordan rushed out with nervousness as the doctor guided her to take a seat on the examination chair in the exam room. The nurse had already taken Jordan's vitals before she went inside.
