It's Thanksgiving! I mean I don't really understand the concept but what I do enjoy is a big feast full of good food. I'm excited to try all the different types of food. Soul food isn't a cuisine I'm too familiar with but I am happy to try it and so is my family, especially Valentina.

Jordan allowed me to invite; Valentina, Mattia, Vittoria, Lorenzo, Nico, and my mamá. I made sure Jordan was really okay with inviting my mamá and she agreed saying everyone deserves a second chance. It made me admire Jordan more, she has such a good heart and is so understanding. The amount of empathy she is able to give to someone is beautiful and I can see where Bay gets it from, her mother. I honestly don't know how she does it.

Jordan says the meaning of Thanksgiving to her is good food, family, and just the overall meaning of being thankful for everything you have even if it seems insignificant. This is my first time ever celebrating Thanksgiving and I'm honestly really looking forward to it. I'll also be meeting Jordan's mom, Josephine for the first time and I will admit that I am nervous because I want her to see me as someone who could protect and love her daughter and granddaughters. That I could be the one for her daughter.

In order to prepare the ham, Jordan and I got up really early. Jordan explains that although the turkey is typically prepared as the main course, she and the twins prefer the ham, especially when it is topped with Josephine's renowned brown sugar glaze. Despite this, I don't mind because the food sounds delicious. Whether it's ham or turkey, I don't really care; I'll eat anything.

Jordan and I go over everything, making sure to double check that we have everything, and happily, it appears like we have everything we need. We have everything in the oven and all the side dishes are almost done by the time it hits 10:30 AM.

Since most of the food was either cooking in the oven or almost done, Jordan and I took a minute to get ourselves together by taking a shower and getting dressed for the rest of the day.

Once we were done we headed to the girls' bedroom to get them up and dressed. Bay was easy to get up as all we had to do was mention that her cousin was coming over and she was jumping out of the bed. Bella was a bit reluctant at first but eventually got dressed for the day. I had already let the school know that Bellamy and Bay wouldn't be going to school today so there was no problem there.

Knowing that we had a big dinner ahead of us, Jordan and I decided on a small breakfast with the girls. As soon as we finished and cleared the dishes the doorbell rings, letting us know someone is here.

"I'll get it." Jordan announced as she got up from the dining room table to answer the door but not without kissing my forehead. I smiled at that, I'm honestly becoming so soft and I don't know how I feel about it yet but I'm just going with the flow.

"Hi momma! Happy Thanksgiving!" I heard Jordan shout excitedly.

"Hey baby girl! Happy Thanksgiving, I've missed you." Her mother responded as I got up from the dining table to go meet her. "How've you been, baby?"
