The lands of Konoha were finally at peace. The kingdom was peaceful and prospering in this time and the people were celebrating there new King and Queen.
The kingdom of Konoha was a haven for all manner of creatures to coexist in peace. Just in the capital there were Shapeshifters, Elves, mages, humans and all manner of other powerful creatures.
The kingdoms ruling system was ever changing, but frequently kept fair and in check. The previous King or Queen could remain ruler if they chose to but they were allowed to pass the kingdom onto a ruler they felt was more suited to the role. If the ruler didn't want to pass the kingdom onto anyone it would go to the direct heir once the ruler had passed on. If the citizens didn't like or agree with the discison they could hold a vote to change the leader.
After the war the King Kakashi had passed the role to his pupil Naruto. The efforts and sacrifices Naruto had made to save the kingdom had made him the perfect candidate for king.
The day he had been crowned the streets had roared with applause and the kingdom had celebrated for nights on end.
The next great gathering had been when the King had married the elven princess Hinata. There love had excited the kingdom and it seemed as nothing more could help boost the kingdoms happiness. That was until the queen announced she was pregnant.
None of the royalty or nobility had told the peasants but the word had gotten out regardless. This was both a thing to be celebrated and a thing the kingdoms enemy's could use against the royalty.
