Boruto Pov:

"Come on it'll be fun y'know!" I try to persuade Shikidai, Sarada, Inojin, Mitsuki and Cho Cho.

Mitsuki looks indulging with my request.

Inojin is looking at me like I'm crazy.

Shikidai looks thoughtful.

Sarada looks like a frog with her wide eyes and puffy cheeks.

And Cho Cho looks ready to admit me to a mental asylum.

"You...you want to 'wrangle a couple o' grinffins'. A beast so reclusive and aggressive that even elves tend to avoid them. A beast so dangerous that people have to travel hundreds of kilometres out of their way to avoid them. A beas-"

"Yeah yeah. A deadly beast. I get it. Glad you know what they are y'know." I cut off Cho Cho.

She smiles and flips me off. I stick my tongue out at her.

Sarada fiddles with a ring on her right hand.

She looks at me and turns back to fiddling.

"I mean, it's something to do at least." She mildly supports the idea.

"See, even princess gets it!"

Sarada sends me a pitiful glare and rolls her eyes.

I grin.

Shikidai clears his throat, "if we were hypothetically, to do this, where would we go? What would we bring? Who do we inform or not inform? What is our main objective? And what will make this not a drag?"

"There's a canyon not far from the woods that hosts some griffins. Bring water and food. Do most definitely not inform anyone. The main objective is fun but we could make it a competition. And it won't be a drag if one of us successfully tames one." I answer assuredly.

I'm totally making this up. I have no idea if it will work but it sounds like fun.

"And if our parents find out?" Inojin asks.

"Well I'm all good for that. For you? Not so much. I hope your good liars y'know." I reply cheerfully.

Sarada frowns. "Many people in the castle care for you. Though I don't know how or why."

"Like who? I'm pretty sure I'm here because it makes the kingdom look more inviting and friendly." I roll my eyes.

"Not true. Big sister Meiko and Queen Hinata care a lot about you." Shikidai tallies it up.

I'm sure they'll get over whatever charity they have." I pointedly stare at Inojin and Shikidai. They both shudder and look hurt.

Good.

If others suffer you know you have won.

"Our parents are nothing like that." Inojin defends. I scoff.

"Nobody's ever like that then one day boom! And they turn out to be 'like that' Y'know."

"What? I'm confused." Sarada buts in.
