Shikidai Pov:
"I'm so bored." Sarada whines for the millionth time.
"Sarada we have ears. We have heard you. Now can you please be quiet." Inojin glares.
Sarada sends a look full of loathing.
"Let's do something interesting." Cho Cho pipes up, backing her best friend and what not.
Honestly why is everything such a drag?
I sigh deeply riddled. If I'm being honest I'm bored too. We've been cooped up in my room for three hours and that's always bound to end bad. I put my book down and look at the ceiling.
The marble and gold mosaic has become so boring. Everything in the castle is a drag.
I tune back into the discussion. Well, the argument. Sarada and Cho Cho are yelling at Inojin about wanting to leave. Inojin is shouting about the dangers, what happens when are parents notice and other practical nonsense.
A light knock on the door signifies a maid and the others fall quiet.
"Come in." Cho Cho says, looking at her nail polish and applying more coats of her signature gold colour.
Three maids come in; Sumire, Namida and Wasabi. I've yet to see an instance when those girls are apart. Sarada and Cho Cho squeal in delight and hug their friends. Rambling about who knows what.
The maids place their trays down and listen lively into the chatter.
"...and we were just saying how fun it would be to go outside the castle walls." Sarada catches up the girls.
"We should go." I say. The room enters a dead silent stage. Sarada has a giant smile on her face, Inojin looks betrayed and Cho Cho squeals with happiness.
"Have you lost your mind, Nara?" Inojin asks.
"Not to my knowledge." I tell him.
"I never knew you were such a rebel." Cho Cho smiles flirting-like.
Sorry to break her heart. But I do not like her.
"How are we going to get outside the palace walls?" Sumire asks curiously.
"There are hidden passages all over the castle. When we were younger, Boruto and I would go 'esploring' as he would say." I smile and think back to the memory.

(Shikidai is seven months old)
I'm in my father's study looking at all the books my father has. The thick volumes contain centuries of psychic knowledge from our family tree.
Even if we're psychics, my father's clan relies heavily on knowledge and brain power. I can't wait to be like him, the one thing I wish was that he would tuck me into bed more.
There's a spitting noise being made at the fireplace. I inspect it silently from my position under my father's desk.
A cloud of ash erupts from the fire place and coats the floor in smoky black ash.
"Uh-oh!" A squeaky voice says. I know him. It's my best friend Boruto. I crawl out from behind the desk and observe the mess.
"Twubsum!" I shake my head at the mess.
