Sasuke Pov:
Sakura keeps glaring at me everytime I want her attention.
Was it so unfair to keep him in check?
Sarada irritated at me too. I can never do anything to make her happy.
"Come out and say it stupid." I scowl at Naruto who looks bursting to say something.
He always has something to say. Much like Raijin.
"Did you really have to go so far as to threaten the people he cares about?"
"Yes."
"Uncle Sasuke, you wouldn't really hurt him would you?" Himawari asks. I hold back a sigh.
Himawari is a good girl yes, she just irritates me. I will happily sacrifice myself for her but I will also happily avoid her.
"As long as he doesn't hurt anyone I care about." I tell her truthfully.
She nods but still looks upset.
It's awkwardly quiet now.
Hinata and Sakura are ignoring everybody and eating away at a stash of sugar, Naruto is fiddling with his hands, Shikamaru is thinking through want happened and trying to find a logical solution to what happened at the ceremony while Temari plays with his hair.
Sarada stands off to the side with Shikidai, Himawari and Inojin. That being said the young mind reader is standing inappropriately close to the young princess.
Cho Cho is with her father while he recovers and Ino and Sai are entertaining Orochimaru and his sons.
I have an urge to tap. This kid's behaviour is starting to rub off on me. I scowl darkly at that.
"Okay listen up because I will say this once; I'm sorry. I should not have done what I did." I say sincerely.
"We're not the ones you need to say sorry too." Sakura frowns at me. On her lip is a cluster of sugar particles and I almost snort.
I don't have a death wish.
I grumble to myself.
So many fucking problems. Honestly.
I'm nostalgic for the days of war. And those were fucking bad.
"I'm going to take over for Ino and Sai, so I guess goodnight." I bid everyone a parting.
"Hold up dumbie, I'm coming too." Naruto bends down and kisses Himawari's forehead and then repeats the gesture to Hinata.
Shikamaru stands too and bids his wife and son a goodnight.
The three of us leave in awkward silence.
Of course, Naruto is dying to say something but I'll let him stew for a bit. Shikamaru is cool with the quiet. He's probably glad for some quiet.
"Go for it." I roll my eyes at Naruto.
"Why are you so mean! That was really uncalled for. I'm ashamed of you." The blondie spits out.
