Naruto Pov:
Sasuke grips his blade as the two children walk in.
The boy walks with a slight limp but a steady gaze (glare) for each of us. The girl beside him is trembling slightly but looks fine minus the twin streams of blood on her cheeks.
They drugged us. Kurama inputs.
Oh, shit.
Sasuke unsheathes his Fae sword with a quick hiss of metal and holds it against the boy's throat.
So much like when Boruto was kidnapped.
"Sasuke!" I shout. He doesn't respond and a thin stream of blood leaks from the boys neck.
"Don't you dare!" The girl screams. She lifts her hands in a threatening manner and two shadow tunnels appear either side her.
"I will release them unless you put the blade away." She declares in an angry tone, "don't think I won't. I've already sent three Kari Te's to their demise, I won't hesitate to let you join."
She killed three reapers? She's got some power on her.
Sasuke tilts his head quizzically and lowers his sword so it rests next to his hip. The girl switches her gaze to mine.
"Your highness." She nudges the boy, "ow, bitch. That still hurts for fuck sakes."
The annoying shop owner, Akira, bats the back of his head with a thick book, "stop your crude language. Not acceptable in such company." She scolds.
He opens his mouth to reply but the girl cuts him off, "Cam, they won't help them if you keep being rude."
Them? I thought it was just Boruto.
Boruto. Oh god. My son. My son. He's so so so close. I made a promise to save my baby boy. He's right there. They won't let me see him. I need to see him.
I glance at Mama Eiki as she watches us with a knowing smile on her face.
"Alright everyone, introductions. Yes, you may see your son afterwards my King." Mama Eiki grins.
I nod, bouncing my leg and only just keeping my mouth shut about wanting to see him now.
"I'm King Narut-"
"Yeah, we know." Camo interrupts. "Your advisor, Lord Shikamaru. Your general Lord Sasuke. Your Wife, Queen Hinata. We know everyone. We do research our targets."
The girl rolls her eyes but smiles.
"Still don't know why we saved you. Anyway, I'm Penn. That's Camo. It's unusual to meet you. I'm assuming it because you want the information we have." Penn says.
"Information? What could you possibly have that we want?" Shikamaru asks.
"On Point, idiot." Camo shouts. First time someone's called the genius of the land an idiot.
Akira lifts the book up again and Camo hunches down and proceeds to keep his mouth quiet. She returns to the lengthy novel with a critical smile.
