Sasuke Pov:
Naruto's kid is a an adorable, little brat. Now the little troublemaker has gotten himself kidnapped. Naruto is super on edge. Shikamaru is acting like a piece of bread got stolen and I...well I haven't exactly given a lot of reassurance to anyone. I'm trying to relax my own fears and anger.
Ever since meeting him my life had become drastically harder.
Just like his mother, Boruto is curious and adept at stealth. When he had learned to crawl the entire castle had to be put on alert. It has been one such time when I had run into him.
I had been on my way to visit Sakura and my daughter Sarada, when I just happened to stop. For quite a while I had been feeling like someone was following me but I could never pinpoint who. My sudden halt caused the little one to run into my shoe. He had glanced up and giggled.
Then the troublemaker had started to pull himself up, using my body as a leverage point. I'd kneeled down to meet him face on and laughed at the concentration on his face.
"Would you like to come with me to see Sakura and Sarada?" I asked seriously. His face had lit up and he started chanting something in his own little language. It seemed to be an agreeance. So we left to the hospital.
He had been to the healer a lot so he knew my wife and the facility well. It annoyed Hinata and Naruto to no end, but what could they do. Boruto had acquired to many of Naruto's genes.
I had picked him up and listened commitidly to the baby's ramblings. It was quite joyous to be around. After an enjoyable visit to my wife and daughter, I had once again scooped him up. He had promptly fallen asleep against my chest, his tiny hands gripping my collar tightly. Right then and there I knew I was going to protect him.
He was like another part of my family. Now here we were. The little tyke had gotten kidnapped and my rage was simmering darkly. Naruto's control had snapped a long time ago and we were lucky that his entire body hadn't burst into flames.
"Alright Shikamaru, let's go with the tracking stone. Sasuke can you transport us there?" Of course I could, but instead of answering Naruto I look over to the stone in Shikamaru's hand, then concentrate on summing the shadows. My left eye's power making the portal summon much faster.
As a Shadow-Walker I was exceedingly useful for transporting things, with the added gods' eye (the rinnegan) I had obtained I was even more deadly than most of my kind. Which wasn't hard to rate because Sarada and I are the only ones of our kind left.
The portal emerges quickly, Naruto, Shikamaru and I all enter quicker. Inside the portal you feel the active shadows creeping on you but this journey is a quick one so we don't bother to pull out any weapons to fend the shadows off. Unsurprisingly the shadows leave a glowering Naruto to his own devices.
As quick as the ride is it still feels like it's taking too long. Boruto could be in any manner of state and we're taking to long to get to him.
Finally, we reach the portal end and step out to find we're at the walls of Konoha. The kidnapper is here too. Just like the Fae woman said the man is dressed in goatskin from his tunic to his cape. A deadly snarl erupts from Naruto, the beast inside him is ready to rip this scum apart. I for one can't wait to watch.
"Give us the child back." Shikamaru orders. The man turns around in shock, it quickly turns to fear. But who wouldn't be afraid in the face of Konoha's elite guards. In the man's arms is a crying and fighting Boruto.
I can detect multiple growls coming from my men. I know for sure I was one of them. The crying is unusual for Boruto and I have to wonder what's gotten into him. As the son of the King he has met many strange people and never once been afraid. My eyes land on his wrist, it's bent at an awkward angle and looks like there is bone protruding from it.
"What did you do to him." I scream. The man loses all colour in his face but stands his ground, closing his hands tighter around Boruto to contain him.
"The little nipper bit me, I returned the favour tenfold." He grins, revealing uneven, rotting teeth. That bastard. I check out both of his arms glad to see that Boruto did take a chunk out of his left arm. I grin savagely at the man. I will enjoy torturing him.
Naruto will as well. The King has gone and burst into flames at the sight of Boruto's arm.
"Let him go. Now!" He roars. The guards advance on the man, attempting to corner him. He pulls a dagger out of his belt and presses it against Boruto's throat.
"Back up." He yells. "Or I'll slit the child's throat." He leers. Somehow Boruto must recognise the danger, because his cries fall silent and his struggling has come to an end to.
"Dada? Unel Sase? Unel Shimru? Big bwover konomaru?" Boruto questions us. His blue eyes wide and confused. I think he's asking if he going to be okay.
Naruto takes in deep breaths, tears falling down his own cheeks. "Everything will be fine, Boruto. I'll save you. Don't worry." Naruto rambles. We have to get him back. I try to use my rinnegan but it seems all the magical energy around the man and Boruto is being dispersed. Out of the corner of my eye I can see Shikamaru assess the situation.
It's clear that he knows about the magic disperser. But what will he do to work around it? We can't attack or Boruto will cease to be living. I know for a fact every guard, nobility and servant would rather eat a sword than allow Boruto to die.
"What do we have that you want?" Shikamaru is trying to bargain with the man. It's not an ideal solution but it's the only one we have right now.
