Sasuke Pov:
"We should check back up on Raijin." Meiko says pulling Ino along with her. Sakura and Naruto stand to follow them. I ghost up to Sakura and slip her dainty hand in mine.
"You should not be traversing around with him on the loose." I frown.
"I'm not exactly alone and you've contained him. I think I'll be alright dear." Sakura pats my cheek.
I huff and stay silent. I don't trust this kid. Especially around my family. Just look at what he's done.
▪️Stop an assassination.
▪️Climb a building with a dagger in his stomach.
▪️Noticed the illusions of a bone eye sorcerer.
▪️Survived falling off a nine feet building.
▪️Rode a bonded pegasus.
▪️Took out Choji- who currently resides in his room unconscious still.
▪️And took down a creature Naruto and I struggled to beat.
And all we know about him is he doesn't like nobility.
My jaw clenches and my teeth click with an audible snap.
"Whoa, break a tooth there?" Naruto snickers. I throw a death glare at him and he quickly shuts his mouth.
We walk in uncomfortable silence to the infirmary. Meiko tries twice to break the tension but after a while just throws everyone an 'I'm done with you' glare and stalks forward.
It's very amusing. The little shifter always has the most amusing tantrums.
She was made for Boruto. Boruto was her designed bond. I can't help but think of what would happen if the little man was here right now.
Probably poking Raijin and annoying the crap out of him. Yeah. That sounds accurate.
Meiko enters first with a polite but reserved smile on her face.
"Oh my mother freaking gods! Where heck is he?!" She shrieks. She stomps past Ino who's gone pale at the shifters' outburst, and jabs a partially shifted talon at me.
I stare blankly at her as if I'm not terrified. Her pretty purple eyes have transformed to fully black-including the whites of her eyes. Her usual silvery blonde hair transforms into black with highlights of purple and her skin tints until it's ghost white. Fangs appear from her normally straight teeth and her lips go blood red.
I push Sakura behind my back against her wishes.
"What did you do?!" Meiko screams. I'd be lying if I said she wasn't scary.
"I locked him up that is all." I say in an even tone.
"Meiko, Sasuke wouldn't hurt him." Naruto tries to calm her down. Her head turns like it would if she was in her owl form.
"Is that so? Naruto." She say through gritted teeth.
Naruto pales but nods steadily.
