A/N: I have internet at home again so I won't have to just post on Tuesdays!

Penn Pov:

I have to say, getting thrown into a wall hurts. The out-of-breathlessness doesn't help either.

Gritting my teeth I summon my shaedows to come to my aid.

What I'm doing is really, really dangerous. Shaedow monsters aren't meant to leave their dimension. If they get loose they'll destroy anything and everything in their path.

I don't want to let them out but Anari, Ink and I are fighting a losing battle. Stubborn as a mule Ink insisted on joining us. She's a fighter, don't ever make the presumption she can't. It's just, she's not great in close quarter combat.

Anari comes to my rescue as I lay dazed against the wall, receiving my intended strike with her elbow and kicking the guard in return.

I clench my hands tighter around the files before sticking them in the void with explicit explanation to guard it to the shaedows.

Ink giggles gleefully as a guard levitates in the air and starts to choke on his own guts. I look away from the gore and back to my target.

"Appear before me and follow my bidding. Appear before me, I command you to follow my bidding. Kari Te I summon you to adhere my will. Join us!" I chant, summoning a reaper.

Three Kari Te's appear as whispy, smoke figures but the power radiating from them sends the nearest magic particles vibrating in anticipation.

"Kari Te's, your job is simple. Rid the word of all those who bear this symbol," I burn the symbol on the whitewash walls with my pixie dust.

The Kari Te's make clicking sounds as they converse. The seconds tick by me and the useless feeling is playing a whole damn orchestra in my stomach as it ties itself in knots.

The three Kari Te's vanish and reappear behind each guard in jerky teleports. The guards don't hesitate to tackle them but end up with sticking themselves on soul blades.

I cringe just thinking about the pain of having ones soul ripped from their body and to never cross into the afterlife, cursed to stay trapped in the sword.

I suck in a deep gulp and pull back my shaedows monsters as the reapers take care of the amassing guards. They sliver back into their dimension, consumed in the darkness.

I pant against the wall from the effort. I can't take much more. To the left of me Ink stands victorious and a touch smug. Suddenly she spins around only to be met with a soul sword ripping through her chest.

"NOOO!" I scream racing towards her body. The symbols on her body flair up as she chokes on her blood.

"It's not fair." She whispers to me.

"I know. I know. Ink, just stay with me! Please Ink. Ink you can't go. Inksie Jinxie, please." I beg.

"Fuck! Fuckity fuck fuck!" Anari kneels down beside us and cradles Ink's head in her lap. "Penn don't kill me." She says.

Huh? What why?

Ink gasps in agony and grips my hand so tight the bones shift.
