I sigh in annoyance. The Kingdom of thieves. My sister's favourite shopping spot. I personally don't really care for this kingdom. I also always have to watch my pockets when we're here.

I wipe a bead of sweat from my brow. It's always hot and humid when we visit. It's supposed to be minus thirteen on a daily average but the weather always has different ideas for us.

'Us' being the heirs of the Joushin elven clan.

A small figure runs full speed into my calves and crashes back.

I turn to see the haggard body of a six year old on the ground.

He wipes away a bit of mucus that trickles from his nose. He has intimidating blue eyes and his left cheek is severely bruised but it's the lucky side of his face.

His right cheek is dripping blood in a 't' formation. T as in thief. This kid is lucky he hasn't lost a hand.

You can be any age in this 'upstanding town' to receive punishments befitting the title.

The child looks at me with wild eyes and dashes away.

I tilt my head in confusion at the child. Why is he afraid of me? Last time I checked I didn't harm him.

I continue to focus my gaze on the runaway. There's something unusual about him. At that moment my sister decides to pull me into the shop and help her find the perfect dress.

I go somewhat reluctantly but there's no holding back from the force that is my sister.

My mind keeps running back to the kid. He looked so afraid when he saw me. Which I suppose could be explained by the fact he's just been jumped but that's the way the kingdom of thieves is.

You learn quick or you lose everything.

I suppose Anari's getting annoyed at my lack of attention because she throws a shoe at me.

Seven inches of pure obsidian heel hover just above my eye.

"Really Ana?" I scowl at her. She's lucky my Surigijin god eyes are better than normal.

The Surigijin God eyes are unique to the Joushin Elf clan. Much like the Huyga's have their Byakugan clan eyes we have the Surigijin eyes.

"Pay attention. Or at least pretend to." She scolds.

"But it's soooo borinnnngg." I complain.

"If you aren't going to help me you have to pay." She bargains.

"Deal." I agree instantly.

Hallelujah.

She huffs. "Damn that was my last dress to, I can't make you sit there in torture anymore." She grumbles.
