Pablo's POV

The next morning, I woke up from my deep sleep with Lucia's fingers threading through my hair. I groaned softly as I loved the feeling of her massaging my scalp, and opened one of my eyes to look at the smiling girl next to me. It almost seemed like she could set aside all her struggles and just enjoy the days off here in Los Palacios y Villafranca. Maybe the break really helped her and was a turning point for us.

"Good morning baby." She mused and scooted closer under the covers.

I mumbled some incoherent words, needing to fully wake up first before I could answer her.

"You slept for a long time." I then rasped as I opened my arms for her to cuddle in to.

"Almost thirteen hours." Lucia answered as she looked at her phone. It was now nine in the morning.

"I haven't slept this good in weeks."

I smiled for myself, happy that she was improving step by step.

"That's because you slept next to me." I teased her with raised eyebrows, but she only laughed, burying her head more into my shoulder.

We lounged around for some more, just talking and sharing kisses as we both missed each other over the course of last week. Then, after breakfast my mother texted me my family was at my aunt's house, just enjoying some time together. She asked me if we wanted to come too, but I told her we'll visit them sometime later this week. For now, I just wanted to spend the next hours with my girlfriend.

"Pablo?" Lucia sat on the couch, calling out for me.

"Hm?"

"I'm thinking of taking Anti-depressants. I've read a lot about it the last days and talked with my parents about it and we all think it's best if I take something. I'll have a look at it with Dr. Pérez first, of course."

It surprised me that she came up with it now, but I didn't think it was a bad idea. I knew these medications had several side effects, but if it meant it will help her, then I didn't think it would be a bad idea.

"Oh, okay. I'm glad you researched about it, and if it will help you mentally, I don't see a problem with it. It's nothing you should be ashamed about." I saw her smile at my words and knew she was much more relaxed now with this topic off the hook.

"I just wanted you to know."

"I'm glad you told me."

---------

We were talking about what we wanted to do in the next few days, but what Lucia didn't know was, that we wouldn't spend the remaining days here in Los Palacios.

I shot up immediately, earning a confused look from Lucia when I sprinted upstairs. I barged into my room, looked under my bed to grab the wrapped present I had for her. I bet she didn't understand a thing what was happening, which made me even more excited. I loved surprising people.

I jogged back to the couch with my hands behind my back and ordered her to sit up and close her eyes. She did like I told her to, then placed the card and gift into her palms.

"Merry belated Christmas." Lucia gasped when she saw the Christmas wrapper, cheeks heating up immediately.

"You didn't have to gift me anything amor." She pouted.

I scoffed, shaking my head. "Of course, I love surprising my girl. Now open it!" I urged, but Lucia only snickered lightly.

"Open the present first." I intently looked at her as she was tearing the paper apart.
