Lucias POV

The first days living with Pablo were a bit weird, I have to say. It was just a bit awkward acting like roommates now, but I quickly got used to it because Pablo made me feel like home. Still, I didn't like how people already found out I lived with him. A gossip page spread pictures of us shopping and me standing in front of his door. It did look a bit suspicious; I'll give them that, but we both deserved some privacy. Pablo and I didn't talk about it yet, kind of ignoring the awkward conversation that would come along with it.

It was Friday and we were just done with our second practice of the day when I walked outside the locker room, bumping into Fermin.

"Oh hi Lucia." He greeted, looking just as surprised as I was.

"Hello Fermin. You finished training too?"

He leaned against the wall, then turned his head towards the door he came from.

"Yeah just now. Gavi should head out soon too. I heard you moved in with him."

Fermin said with a grin, probably trying to get some reaction out of me.

"I did, yes. I must say was a bit sudden tho." I explained to him.

"I hope he's nice to you?" He asked in a playful matter, and I knew he meant it as a joke. Fermin knew Pablo was one of the nicest people around here.

I was about to respond with the same banter when I saw Pablo walk outside, towards us.

"He's so rude, you can't even imagine." I said with irony, speaking a bit louder to let him hear.

I could see Pablo's face drop immediately as he heard what I said. I guess he couldn't tell I was joking at first. But as I gave him a wide smile and shook my head slightly, he realized I was just playing with him. He shot me a toothy grin back and wrapped one arm around my shoulder, standing now in front of Fermin too.

"I heard that." Pablo mumbled close to my ear and made us two laugh.

"What were you two talking about?" He followed up.

"I asked Lucia if you were nice to her."

Pablo looked down at me expectantly, raising a brow and waited for my answer.

"You know the answer yourself." I said, rolling my eyes. I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing he was more than "just nice" to me.

"But I would like to hear it." He said cockily and I knew he would not give up.

"You're more than nice. Alright?" I didn't look him in the eyes. My cheeks already reddened when thinking about all of it.

Pablo just laughed in victory and pulled me into his arms, my face mushed into his shoulder. Fermin grinned besides me, shaking his head softly.

"Are you heading home?" Pablo asked and pushed slightly away to look at me. Fermin already said goodbye again, leaving us two alone.

"Yes, we're done for today but I'm going out with Elena and some friends tonight." We slowly headed outside to our cars. He seemed a bit surprised, and I swear I could've seen a bit of disappointment as he heard I wasn't home tonight.

"Sounds fun." Pablo gave me a soft smile again before going to in his own car to drive home.

We met again shortly after at his house, but I already had to get ready for tonight.
Elena persuaded me to go out with her and the people pleaser I am I couldn't say no. The plan was to go to a bar, eat dinner, have some drinks and head home again. I didn't want to be home too late, so already set a mental timer at ten thirty.
