Gavi's POV

It was nine in the morning, and we were boarding the plane for our game against Betis tonight. I was the last to board and already three pairs of eyes were staring at me with a mischievous glint in them. After I gave them a confused look and sat down next to Fermin, I texted Lucia telling her we're about to head off.

I may or may not have left a small surprise for her at home, hoping she would like it.

"How was your movie night with Lucia?" Fermin teased, to which I gave him my usual glare when he was being a bit too noisy.

"Are you spying on me?" I could feel him looking at my phone, probably reading my messages with Lucia right now.

Pedri, a row in front of us, was suddenly very interested in our conversation and his eyes wandered to my phone now too. As precaution, I locked my phone again and put it in my pocket.

"Nope... just saw her name on your phone." Fermin explained, not giving it much importance.

"You had a movie night? And did not invite us?" Ferran's head popped up next to Pedri, looking disappointed I did not invite them.

I guess the whole group was informed now.

"No. Well yes, I had a movie night but only with Lucia. I've told you that in practice yesterday!" I exclaimed, but not surprised they had already forgotten.

Fermin and Pedri apparently remembered, thanks to their loud "Ahh's", but Ferran still seemed confused.

"You haven't told me!" He said, almost sounding hurt.

"Yeah, because Xavi screamed at you for being late to practice." Pedri said and gave him a little slap onto the back of his head.

"Where's your shark mentality, tiburón?" Fermin joked, making the group except for "el tiburón" laugh.

Before Ferran and Fermin could bicker more, Pedri intervened.

"Hey hey! Let's not get distracted from the real gossip." He said and the two boys stopped.

"So, what's going on with Lucia?" Pedri asked me once more.

I was never good at lying, but tried it anyway.

"Nothing." I said, acting as if I was looking for something in my backpack. I saw Fermin roll his eyes, not believing me one bit so I burst out in laughter.

"Why is it so hard to keep secrets." I sighed annoyed and buried my face into my hands.

The others broke out in a fit of laughter too, probably loving how I feed them with new gossip every week.

"TELL US WHAT HAPPENED!" Fermin almost shouted and about half of our team turned around to see what was going on here.

I pinched his side to shut him up, making him squeal like a little girl.

"If y'all shut up for once I'll tell you." Already annoyed with the situation, I waited a few seconds before telling them I've kissed Lucia.

"We talked, then she gave me a massage while we watched a movie, then I kissed her."

Their reaction was priceless, I wished I could've recorded it.

Fermin screeched, Pedri's eyes widened in surprise and Ferran just nodded his head approvingly.

"Well how was the kiss? Did she like it?" Ferran asked, acting as the most mature out of the group.

"I guess." I shrugged. Keeping it low-key like I wanted did not really work when these three were my friends.
