Lucia's POV
„Do you have your medication for your back pain?"
„mhm"
„The tape for your knee?"
„mhm"
„Your socks for practice?"
„mhm"
„the kitty to cuddle when you're lonely at night?"
Pablo's head turned around while he rolled his eyes, placing his hands on both of my shoulders.
„Bebé... don't worry, De la Fuente always mails us a packing list weeks before we need to go to the Spain camp so we wouldn't forget anything. And, my mom already asked me about every single thing yesterday. Let's just enjoy our last evening together." He brought me in a hug, kissing my forehead a few times until I felt myself relax.
„I'm sorry, I just want you to have everything." I mumbled into his shirt, clutching the fabric with my hands.
„No need to say sorry. It's cute. Movie night and baking cookies?" Pablo asked, already leading me back downstairs into the kitchen.
„You know what happened the last time we baked cookies..." I drifted off, laughing at the memory of it.
„I wouldn't mind if that happened again." He wiggled his eyebrows at me, but I just pushed his face away with a grin.
We spent the rest of the night together, arm in arm, swaying from side to side to the quiet music playing in the background.
Soft kisses were pressed on each other's foreheads, secret glances were exchanged when one of us was concentrating on measuring the ingredients. Everything was just so perfect and calm that we almost forgot what was ahead for Pablo in a few days.
An episode of prison break was silently playing on the TV, but the only thing I concentrated on were Pablo's calm breaths.
I laid half on top of him, crawling his head lightly with my manicured nails. Pablo hummed contentedly, pulling me even closer to his body.
„I'm really proud of you, you deserve to shine during the tournament. I hope to see you with the captain armband in Germany though." I just had to end my soppy love speech with a joke, feeling him giggle from underneath me.
„Thank you, love. I'll try my best." Pablo lifted my chin up, placing a sweet, gentle kiss on my lips.
I first pecked his forehead, then both of his cheeks before lovingly kissing his lips.
We didn't say much else but just enjoyed each other's company. Eventually both of us fell into a deep sleep, tangled up in blankets on our couch.

„How's Germany?" I asked from our balcony in Alicante, overlooking the ocean. Elena, Alba, Clara and I decided to book a flight to the Spanish city to enjoy some time off before I left for Germany to watch my boyfriend play at the Euros.
„Good, exhausting, fun, but I miss you." Pablo pouted with damp hair, his face mushed into a pillow.
„You will see me soon." I paused and quickly looked at the date. „Six days and I'm in Germany with your family."
Pablo only grumbled, probably not agreeing this was anytime „soon".
„Six days are too long. By the way you're not only missed by me but also by my teammates, they always ask me about you." I grinned, knowing Pablo could become jealous quickly if it wasn't a close friend of him talking about me.
