Pablo's POV
We were currently warming up for practice, the bright sun shining right down onto us players.
„I didn't know Germany could be this hot in the morning." I told Dani without much thought, to which he just laughed out loud.
„Not only Spain is hot, Pablito." He scolded me, but my focus was already somewhere else. It was the second last training session before our first game, and De La Fuente allowed the families to visit the morning practice if they wanted.
Morata's kids were already running around the stands, causing laughter and chaos among the other families.
My family arrived too, sitting discreetly rather on the side, observing the scene quietly. Javi and Aurora were pointing towards something they must've seen on the field while Lu just calmly looked around, smiling at friends which walked past.
I loved to have such a supportive girlfriend, always trying to come to my games and cheer me up if something doesn't go the way I want.
Her clueless look made me grin lightly, wondering when she finally would meet my gaze. In that moment Lu's eyes lit up and a big smile spread across her face once she saw me. I let out some giggles, just like she did, but she quickly became shy, her cheeks turning red.
„Gavi stop flirting!" Rodri shouted, getting all of our mates to join his teasing.
„I am not! How am I flirting?" I questioned, but knew they just wanted to get under my skin and rile me up.
„Pablo, eyes on the ball, not eyes on your lovely girlfriend." My coach De la Fuente interfered in our bickering, but gave me a secret heads up telling me he was just joking.
We continued with rondos, making me forget for a moment that we had guests.
An hour in, we had a quick water break and the Spain coaches allowed us players to have a chat with our families.
I waved towards my mom and dad, signaling them to bring Aurora and the rest down to the pitch. I had a quick chat with my parents before Ferran got their attention, drifting their focus to him and his parents.
„Slept well?" Lucia asked once we had a few minutes for ourselves, brushing a lock sticking to my forehead away.
„Mehh, my plushie isn't a compensation for your cuddles." I gave Lu a pout but it was quickly kissed away by her.
„Maybe if you have a free day sometime, I might sneak into your room at night." She winked, making my eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
„You'd be brave enough to do that?" I asked, knowing she hated breaking the rules, even if they were small ones like eating a chocolate bar on weekdays.
„We'll see about that. You would need to have some pretty good arguments to make me break the rule." Lu grinned with blushed cheeks, acting not so tough anymore.
„I have some pretty good arguments my way." We both started laughing and she even hid her face in my shoulder in embarrassment.
„You mean face masks and watching movies?" She beamed, knowing exactly that this wasn't what we were just laughing about.
„Exactly." I quickly paused, looking into her eyes before proceeding to chat. „Will you come by tonight before I go to bed?" Lucia gave me a gentle smile, nodding her head at my request. De la Fuente called us back for training, making me quickly turn my attention back to the players.
Lucia gently grabbed my chin and moved my head back before she kissed me.
„You need to shave" She joked, already walking back to the seats where my parents sat at.
