Lucia's POV
It was two in the morning when I was on the phone with Fermin, buying a flight ticket to Sevilla for the next morning. Dried tears stained my cheeks, and I was extremely nervous if Pablo would even want to see me. After all I hurt him just as much as I hurt myself.
---------
„Have a safe flight hija and let us know how it went." My father said as we stood at our doorstep, me with my small luggage in my hand.
"I will. I hope I don't need to buy another flight back to Las Palmas for tonight." I chuckled nervously; in the end I didn't know how it would turn out.
After last night's messages between me and Fermin I knew I couldn't be without Pablo. He was always there for me, and I need him in my life, so my only option was to fly to Sevilla and try to fix this what I've started.
It's been a full week of not seeing each other and I realized what I wanted.
I wanted Pablo. I wanted to have him in my life, even if there were ups and downs he was the one keeping me sane and keeping me happy.
Maybe it wasn't very clever to buy a flight late at night without even asking him if it was alright if I'd come, but Fermin and my friends assured me a thousand times he would be more than happy to see me.
I felt so nauseous the whole flight, but it was a different than the kind I usually had during an episode. It was a mix between excitement and worry.
The flight was over as fast as I had bought a ticket, and I soon stood at the baggage claim, waiting for my little bag. Outside, I looked for a taxi who took me to Pablo's home address. As I sat inside, the taxi driver tried to have a light conversation with me, but I was too caught up to say much. I was going over the apology I had prepared in my head, but soon realized I'd be too nervous to tell him everything I wanted to say, even though he deserved it.
After thirty minutes the taxi driver stopped in a nice neighborhood, pointing to a white house with palm trees behind a gate. I paid him, then went outside. I felt the pulse in my throat, but ringed the bell of the gate nevertheless. It was now or never.
Pablo's mother, Belen, answered through the speaker.
"Lucia! What a surprise! Wait, I'll open the gate for you." I smiled nervously into the camera and awkwardly shifted around for a bit.
As I walked up to the house, Belen already had opened the door, waving me inside.
"Come in, come in!" As a mother who saw her son go through a breakup because of his girlfriend, she acted like I did nothing wrong. I was so glad she didn't hate me, it made me more hopeful that Pablo would have the same opinion on me.
Inside, Aurora and Pablo's father sat on the couch, eyes widening as they saw me walk inside.
"I'm so glad you're here. How are you doing?" Aurora asked as she embraced me in a hug, looking at me with concerned eyes.
"I came to fix this with your brother." I mumbled ashamed as I felt the tears already well up in my eyes.
"No don't cry, he'll be so happy to see you. Pablo understands why you needed a break, what these people were saying was not ok. Don't worry." The family was very comforting, and I appreciated that so much, but the main person wasn't in the room with us.
"Pablo's upstairs." His father told me.
Nervously, I walked upstairs, knocking softly on the closed door. I could hear him playing a game or watching something, but it was paused quickly after the knock. A few seconds later, Pablo opened the door. He had a headset around his neck, wearing his favorite hoodie with his hood up. His eyes immediately widened in surprise and his mouth slightly opened, as if he wanted to say something, but nothing came out.
