Chapter 2

Endou places a hand on my shoulder. "Welcome to the team, L/N" he said. I smile softly at him. I flinch when his arm move to wrap around my shoulder. He grins at me. "With you joining us, we'd win against the aliens! Without a doubt!!" He exclaimed, excitedly. I just smile at their words. My real mission begins... now.

-A Race-

Y/N P.O.V

We're inside the caravan, heading to where the news had told us where the Aliea Academy was last seen. I just lean my back against the chair as I watch the building passing by. I'm sitting next to Gouenji Shuuya. I place my elbow on the window, watching the building passing by.

"L/N?" I hear Gouenji called out. I turn my head to look at him. I hum softly to let him know I'm paying attention him. "How long have you been playing soccer for?" He asked.

I feel the others gaze on me. I glance at them to see them staring at me, probably also curious. "How long... well, for... as long as I can remember" I said. They blinks their eyes as they stare at me. I give them a close-eyed smile and turn my head away from them to continue watching the buildings passing by. I can't tell them specifically. It would be exposing myself on a few things.

The caravan comes to a stop. The sun has gone down. Which means we'll be camping out here. I step out of the caravan and lift my hands, stretching it above my head. I place my hand on my hips after that as I stare forward.

"It's refreshing here, isn't it?" A voice said. I turn my head to see Kino. I smile at her and nod my head. "I have to go with the other two managers to prepare with all of your meals. I hope you'll enjoy your time with us, L/N-Chan" she said, smiling softly at me. She gives my shoulder a gentle pat before walking away with both Otonashi and Natsumi.

"And you can come with us! We'll be training!" Ichinose said. I just hum and nod my head. I walk up towards them as they head towards an open area, where it is more suitable for us to train. There's no soccer field here, but nature. Despite that, I'm sure we can make use of our surroundings. "So... what are we going to train for?" He said.

"Well, judging by our surrounding. I think agility would be the best thing to train. Let's run straight there where the trees are more close to one another" I said, pointing towards a certain direction. Everyone turns their heads to look at where I'm pointing. "Let's see if we can run through them without bumping ourselves into the trees" I said.

"Hey, that's actually a good training idea. Yeah! Let's do that!" Endou said. I just smile at what he said. Everyone cheers in agreement. "Good one, Y/N. Say, were you a captain? Because the way you think is just like a captain" he said. I feel a drop of sweat running down the side of my head.

"Ah well... uh... yeah. Yeah, I was" I said, nodding my head while rubbing my neck awkwardly. I notice his eyes sparkling as he stares at me. "Uhhh... why're you giving that look?" I asked.

"You're REALLY awesome!" He said. I blink my eyes at what he said. I clear my throat and look away, trying to hide the redness on my cheeks. I walk forward so I'm in front of everyone.

"Anyway... let's make it a race. Whoever wins gets to request anything from the others. The top 3 winners" I suggested. I turn around to face them once my cheeks have returned to normal. They turn to look at each other, before grinning. They seem to like the idea. I can see the gleam of competitiveness shines through their eyes.

"Yes!! Let's do that!" Kazemaru said, making me smile at him. All of us stands in line, except for a few who knew they won't win. We didn't force them to join our little race as we chose to respect their choices.

With a signal, we start to run. I swiftly avoid all the trees in my way as I zoom through the forest. As I run ahead, I hear the others' footsteps behind me making me grin to myself realizing I'm leading in this race.

Soon enough, I come to a clearing. The second one that makes it through after me is Kazemaru and Gouenji. I grin at the sight of the two of them. The others finally make it through and drop on the ground while breathing heavily from their exhaustion. I lift my hand as I cover my mouth, giggling softly.

"Aww... tired already?" I said, teasingly. They let out a nervous laugh at my comment. I turn my head to look at Kazemaru and Gouenji. "Looks like we're the top 3..." I said, grinning at them.

They just smiles at me. "Though I'm not surprised... Kazemaru-Kun is the fastest member of the team. While Gouenji is the ace striker. Avoiding trees wouldn't be a problem for them at all" I said, grinning at the two of them. I notice their cheeks growing red at my comment. "Are you guys okay?" I asked, tilting my head slightly at their reaction. They look away after assuring me that they're both okay.

Time-skip

We ended up making everyone run laps as punishments. I watch from the bench as they run around the open space. "Come on, everyone! Instead of taking this laps as punishment. Just treat it like another training! It's to help you build up your stamina!" I yelled out, while cupping my face. I hear a ringing coming from my pocket, realizing it's my phone. "I've got to get this call... I'll be right back" I said. Gouenji and Kazemaru nods their heads.

I stand up and walks off to a much secluded area. I lean my back against the wall. "Hello? Oh hi, mom" I said, staring up at the sky. I hear her ask whether I'm doing fine. I assure her that I'm fine.

"Y/N, dear. Please reconsider what you're doing. This is bad... and you know it" she said, trying to convince me to stop my action. I let out an exasperated sigh at what she said. She's been commenting the same thing ever since I accepted the offer of being Raimon Eleven's spy.

"Mom, would you much rather that I'm not able to walk at all?" I said. I hear her trying to deny what I've said to her. "No... you're asking me to quit! It's the same thing as that. I don't wanna hear anything about that. Okay?!" I said. I hang up the phone after that. I let out a shaky breath as I slide down the wall, sitting on the ground with my back against the wall. My phone starts to ring again, making me let out a frustrated groan. "Mom!! I told you I don't wanna hear it!" I said.

"Y/N..." a voice said, making me froze. It wasn't a call from my mother this time. It's the person I made a deal with. "I notice you're having a little argument with your mother. But I assume you've made the right choice to keep going with this mission we've entrusted to you" he said.

"Of course, sir..." I said. I just stay quiet as I listen to him. He's reminding me what I'm doing this for, and what will happen if I try to go against them. Right after telling me all that, he hangs up the phone. I stare at my phone's screen. I let out a sigh as I clutch it. I place my head on my knees as I hug them close. Tears starts to flow from my eyes. I've got no choice... I have to do this.
