Chapter 23

Once the pain subsided, I slowly open my eyes and look up. My eyes widen as I feel fear growing within me. A malice smirk is shown on the person's face. He walks up to me, kneeling down on one knee in front of me. I feel my breathing became ragged as I stare at the person in fear.

What did he want from me?

-An Impossible Ultimatum-

3rd P.O.V

"Hey... where's L/N?" Endou suddenly speaks up. This catches the others' attention. Now that he mentioned it. Neither of them see L/N after she left with Touko. He turn his head and spotted Touko. "Touko!!" He called out, gaining the pink haired attention.

"What's up, Endou?" She said. She looks around and scans everyone's faces. "Oh wait... where's L/N?" She said. This makes everyone worried.

"Isn't she suppose to be with you?" Kazemaru said. Her eyes widen when she realize Y/N had gone missing. "Okay, we have to look for her. I've a bad feeling about this" he said, turning to look at the others. Everyone is quick to agree with him. They quickly split up to look for Y/N.

Endou P.O.V

All of us splits up to look for L/N. Where could she be at? Why'd we let her wander off on her own when we know the aliens are after her. I run past an alleyway. A heavy feeling lingering in my heart. I stop running and turn to look at the alley. I shake my head. I decide to just check it.

"L/N!!" I yelled out, when I spotted her getting pinned against the wall with someone. I feel anger growing within me when I realize who it is. "Hey!! Let her go, Desarm!" I yelled out. He turn his head to look at me.

"Endou..." L/N said, in a weak voice. She looks like she is about to lose her consciousness as Desarm held her by the neck. Desarm just smirks at the sight of me. He turn his head to look at L/N. He leans closer to her, until his lips are right next to her ear. I watch as her eyes widen. Desarm releases her and disappears.

"L/N!!" I yelled out. I rush up to her as her body falls forward. I was quick enough to catch her body before she falls on the ground. "I'm sorry... we shouldn't have let you walk off on your own" I said.

She smiles softly at me. "But you came for me... that's enough, Endou" she said. Her eyes flutter close as she loses her consciousness. I grit my teeth as I look around to make sure none of the aliens are around. I place my hands behind L/N's knees and on her back. I stand up with her in my arms. I make my way out of the alley.

"Endou!" A voice called out. I turn my head to see it's Kidou and the others. They rush over to me. "You've found L/N" he said. He turned his head to look at L/N who lays unconscious in my arms, with her head on my chest.

"Desarm was here... he was holding her by the neck. Look, now her neck is bruising" I said. Otonashi walks closer to check her neck. Her eyes reflects worry. "We've got to find something that'll help us treat her" I said. She nod her head in agreement.

Y/N P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes. My head is resting on a person's lap. I turn my head slightly to see Domon. He turn his head to look at me, noticing that I've woken up.

"Hey, guys! She's awake!" He said, catching everyone's attention. Everyone quickly rushes to gather around me. I slowly move to sit up as I avoid eye-contact with any of them.

"Are you feeling okay?" Fubuki asked, worriedly. I turn my head to look at him. I turn my head to the side and notice a stranger. He notices my gaze and turn his head. "Oh, that's Rika. She decided to join us. She also helped us find this facility. This could be Aliea's Academy secret base. We found it, L/N..." he said. That's when I finally realize we're in some kind of training ground.

I slowly stand up and walk past them. "L/N?" Ichinose called out. I stop for a moment, keeping my head down. "Is there something wrong?" He asked. I bit my lips as I try to control my emotions.

Destroy them... or the Aliea Academy will destroy everyone you love Desarm's voice echoed in my head before he disappears after Endou found me. I shut my eyes tightly. I my teeth as I clenched my hands so tight my hands started to bleed from my nails digging into my skin. My whole body starts to tremble.

"L/N... what happened?" Endou asked, worriedly. I hear the sound of his footsteps as he walks up to me. "What did Desarm said to you?" He asked. I feel his hand on my shoulder. My eyes snap open as I swat his hand away from me. His eyes widen as he looks startled by my action.

"Don't... touch me" I said. I turn to look forward and make eye-contact with coach Hitomiko. I lower my hand and walks up to her. "Coach. Please... take me off the team" I said. I hear a chorus of gasps coming from the others.

"Is there a reason for this?" She asked. I lower my head, avoiding eye-contact with her. "I'm sorry but I can't get you off the team without a proper reason. If you want to leave. Tell me why..." she said.

"Because I can't fight anymore..." I said, closing my eyes as tears starts to stream down my cheeks. I open my eyes to look at her. "I can't fight... so please just let me leave" I said.

"L/N! What are you saying?!" Domon said. I turn my head to look at him. "After everything we've all went through together. You were one of our best player, L/N. Now you want to leave? Just like that??" He said. I can hear the sound of pain in his tone. I turn my head to look at everyone. They all look hurt by my decision.

"Forgive me, Domon. Everyone..." I said. I turn around to walk away when a hand grab my wrist. I turn my head to see Endou. His eyes are staring at me with a pleading gaze, begging me not to leave the team. "Let go, Endou..." I said.

"No! Not unless you give us a proper reason!" He said. His eyes reflects hurt. Everyone has the same reactions. "Just tell us why, L/N. Why do you suddenly want to leave the team?" He said.

"Why do you care? You guys were doing just fine even without my presence! So, why do you all want me to stay so badly??" I said. Endou stays quiet for a while. He turn to look at the others. I try to remove my wrist from his grip, but he only tightens it.

"Because... because I love you!" He exclaimed. My eyes widen at what he said. The other's eyes widen as well. He turn to look at the others. "Sorry, guys. I broke our deal" he said. I stare at him in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" I said. Kazemaru let out a sigh as he steps forward, taking my free hand as Endou moves his hand down to hold my hand. "What's going on?" I asked.

"We didn't want you to find out this way..." Kidou said as he walks forward to stand in front of me. I just stare at him with a confused gaze. "Endou isn't the only one, L/N. I do too... I'm in love with you" he said. I stare at him in disbelief.

"We do too!" The others yelled out. I stare at them with a look of disbelief. I was trying to leave this team, and all of the sudden... these boys told me they love me. What did I get myself into?
