"I'm the worst..." I mumbled to myself. I shut my eyes tightly as tears finally starts streaming down my cheeks. I lift my hands, placing it on my head as I start pulling on my hair out of frustration. "I'm a monster!" I cried out. My whole body begins to tremble as I start to cry harder.
Why am I even here?
-The Prince Of The Snow Field-
Y/N P.O.V
I hear a knock on the door, making me quickly wipe the tears from my face. I wash my face with water to freshen up. But my bloodshot eyes kinda gave away the fact that I had been crying. I let out a sigh, having no choice but to face them. I can't keep them waiting for too long or they'd suspect me. I walk out the washroom to come face to face with one of the manager, Otonashi.
"You were taking so long, L/N-San. The others are getting worried about you. So I came to check on you to make sure you're okay" she said. I just give her a small smile, trying to hide the pain in my eyes. She seems to have noticed them, based on her frown.
"Are you okay, L/N-San?" She asked, staring at me worriedly. I lightly nod my head, without saying anything. I'm worried that if I try to say something, I would ended up bawling my eyes out in front of her. "Are you sure?" She asked again.
"Yes..." I said, in a soft voice. I manage to keep my voice steady and not cracking. She still seems unconvinced. But she nods her head. She probably decides that it'll be best to not question me. Which makes me feel grateful. We decide to head back to where the others are.
I notice everyone is surrounding around someone. Kazemaru is the first to notice me. "Ah, L/N. There you are. Come and meet Fubuki Shirou" he said, gesturing towards the person they surrounds. I turn my head. I blink my eyes in surprise when my eyes landed on the person.
"Ah... it's you!" I said, realizing that Fubuki Shirou was with us all along. It was the boy we met earlier during our journey here. He smiles softly at me as he walks up to me. He lift his hand, offering me a hand-shake. "Ah, yes... L/N Y/N. Nice to meet you, Fubuki-Kun" I said, smiling softly at him.
"Hey, have you been crying?" He asked in a soft voice, as he leans his face closer to mine. I lean back a little, taken aback by his action. His comment catches the attention of the others.
"Has she?" Endou said. He rushes over to me, placing his hands on my shoulders and turns me to face him. He stares at my eyes. "Ah... you're right. Seriously, Y/N... what's wrong? It can't be eye irritation again, can it? The bloodshot in your eyes told me that it was from crying" he said.
"Ah, well. This is... umm..." I stammered, awkwardly. I don't know what to tell them. I can't possibly tell them the reason why I was crying. It would be the same as exposing myself.
"Guys... it would be best if we didn't force her to tell us what happened. It could be something personal" I hear Otonashi said. Everyone seems to agree, making me let out a sigh of relief. Otonashi turn her head to look at me and smiles softly. "But if you do feel upset and want to talk about it to anyone. You can come to us, okay?" She said.
"I will. Thank you, Otonashi-San" I said, smiling softly at her. She smiles and gently wrap his arm around my shoulder. Her gesture is like telling me she'd be there for me. I turn to look at her brother to see him staring at me. Even though he's wearing a pair of goggles, I can still feel his gaze. I turn my head away, breaking the eye-contact.
The manager decides that we should test Fubuki's skill on the field. So all of us make our way towards their field. I walk down the stairs, making sure to be careful because of the slippery steps. I lose my balance and let out a yelp. But before I before I could hurt myself, a pair of hands grabs me to stop me from falling.
"Oh, do be careful... the stairs are slippery" the person said. I turn my head to see Fubuki. He smiles softly at me. I smile gratefully at him. He slowly removes his hands from me, after making sure I'm stable.
I hear something falling and turn my head to see some snow falling. I hear a whimper. I turn my head to see it's Fubuki. He hunches on the stairs, hugging himself as he let out a whimper.
His teammates walks over to him to comfort him. I stare at him worriedly. He seems to have an irrational fear of avalanches. Makes me wonder if something happened to him when he was little? But I should know better than to ask him that question.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion when I notice Fubuki is standing in the position of a defender. I thought Fubuki is suppose to be an offender. So what is he doing there? His teammates told us that he is an offender. But right now, he's a defender. Which doesn't sit right with my mind. Something is strange about this guy.
I'm sitting this match out, an instruction from the coach. So I sit next to Megane as I observe the match. Fubuki is certainly a skilled defender. He has a powerful defend skills.
Someoka is clearly unhappy and went to attack him. I watch as he places his thumbs up on his chest. His lips moves a little but I can't hear what he said. A huge burst of wind circles around him, sending Someoka flying off.
"Is that all you've got?! What a bunch of fries" he said. My eyes widen slightly. He's completely different from he was a while ago. His atmosphere changed. It's like he's a totally different person. He charges forward and use his ice hissatsu. Endou seems to struggle to stop his attack. Whoa... he's really strong.
But something is off about him. He seems to only be interested in having fun. He turn his head to look at me. He lift his hand, pointing a finger at me.
"You... I want to try competing with you! Switch with someone and get on the field!" He exclaimed. I stare at him with my eyebrows furrowed. Why did he suddenly become interested in me?
But before anything else could be decided. The coach told the match to be ended. I watch as Fubuki's face turns back to normal. He takes a deep breath. Endou walks up to him excitedly, making him turn to look at Endou with a smile.
Seems like he agrees to join our team. More people have joined our team, to build up our strength to fight with the Aliea Academy. But deep in my heart, I still feel uneasy knowing the real purpose of me being here.
I can't keep the guilt from growing in my heart. These people have shown me nothing but kindness and care. But here I am... being nothing but a horrible traitor.
