I pull away from Kino after I've calmed down. I turn to face the others and bows. "Forgive me... and thank you for everything" I said. They walks up to me, pulling me into a group hug. My eyes widen in surprise. In the end, I relax as I welcome their warm gesture.
"Now what are you going to do? They'd find out about this soon or later, would they?" Someoka asked. I turn my head to look at him. I open my mouth as I try to come up with an answer.
"Now... now you'll regret ever betraying us" a voice said. I froze at the sound. I turn my head to look at the person. Fear starts growing within me. A look of hatred is shown in his gaze as he stared at me. "You broke the rule... I hope you're ready for the consequences. Should have known that human like you are nothing but trash. If you want something to be done. You just gotta do it yourself and not to entrust it to pests like you" he said.
"Reize!!" Endou yelled out, angrily. He moves to stand in front of me, protectively. The others do the same as they try to shield me from the hateful gaze of the captain of Gemini Storm soccer team. "You don't talk to my friend like that!" He said, pointing his finger at Reize.
"Stay out of this, Endou! This is a business between us and that girl" he said. He turned his head to look at me over Endou's shoulder. "You know the deal. You broke the rule. Now hand it over..." he said, lifting his hand with his palm facing up.
Everyone seems tensed as they look angry. I bit my lips as tears starts gathering in my eyes. "Hand it over, L/N. Now!!" He yelled out. Fubuki's atmosphere changed as he looks like he's ready to pick a fight. I quickly lift my hand, placing it on his shoulder. He turn his head to look at me. I lightly shake my head.
"Don't... it's not worth it. This is the punishment I have to deal with" I said. His eyes soften at what I said. I give him a small smile. I turn to face Reize as I walk forward to stand in front of everyone. I lift my hands, pulling out the necklace I've been wearing from my shirt. I stare at the purple crystal necklace.

"It was all thanks to this necklace that I have been able to walk, and play soccer again..." I said. Tears starts to stream down my cheeks. I smile painfully. I shut my eyes tightly as I clench the necklace in my hand. "And now, it's all over. But I accept it..." I said. I yank it off my neck and throw it at Reize who catches it with ease.
Almost instantly my legs lost their sense of touch. My body from the waist down starts to feel numb, until I can no longer feel my legs. My knees eventually gave up as I fall on my butt. I just stare at my legs in sadness.
"L/N!" I hear Kazemaru yelling out my name. I turn my head to look at him as he drops on his knees next to me. I smile sadly at him. "Y-You're l-legs" he said, staring at me with a sad gaze. He grit his teeth as he turn to look at Reize and the rest of the Gemini Storm. "Fight us!!" He yelled.
"Yeah!! Fight us!! If we manage to win this battle. You are to return that necklace to L/N!" Endou yelled. The rest let out a yell of agreement. My eyes widen at what they just said. They can't be serious. They challenged Gemini Storm... for my sake?
"No... I'm not worth it!" I said. They turn their heads to look at me. I stare at them with tears in my eyes. "I'm just a traitor. You don't have to do anything for me..." I said.
"You're one of us, L/N. Of course we'd turn for your sake..." Someoka said. I stare at them with a sad gaze. He places his hand on my shoulder. "You are our friend. Now cheer for us. We'll make sure you'd still be able to play soccer, okay?" He said.
"Someoka..." I said. He smiles softly at me. He gently wrap my arm around his neck. He place his hands behind my knees and on my back. He slowly stands up with me in his arms. "I don't want any of you to get hurt..." I said.
"Don't worry about us. We won't go down without a fight" he said. I turn my head to look at the others as they smiles at me. Someoka walks towards the bench and gently lower me down. Kino and Otonashi take a seat on either sides of me. They each holds my hand, comfortingly. Natsumi stands behind me with her hands on my shoulder, also trying to comfort me.
The match starts with Someoka possessing the ball. I just watch in silent. The Gemini Storm just stands in their spot. They don't even bother trying to snatch the ball from him. Someoka seems shocked but I know those aliens have a plan.
He uses Dragon Crash, only for Reize to easily stops his attack. He looks shocked by that. Reize kicks the ball that goes straight to Endou. Endou tried to use one of his technique. But he didn't get the chance to as the ball just zipped past him, entering the goal.
"Endou..." I said, worriedly as Endou looks shocked and upset about the fact that he didn't even have time to react. He slowly moves to stand up. A look of bravery and determination reflects in his eyes. "That's enough. You're only going to get yourself hurt... all of you will!" I said. I ended my sentence by shouting, hoping they'd all hear me and stops. My hands tighten around Kino's and Otonashi's.
"It's not over yet! The match has only just begun! We swear to beat you for L/N!" He said, pointing his finger at Reize. He turns to look at me and grins. "Just put your trust in us, L/N!! I'm not going to let your dreams get destroyed! Let's go, everyone!!" He said. Everyone else response with a "yeah!" to his yell.
My eyes soften at how determined they seem. Wish I could do something. They'll get hurt if this match continues. But what can a paralyzed girl like me do? I can't even stand up from this bench.
