The coach clearly has no mercy. I've got to be careful. If I let myself slip up. She'd kick me out without hesitation. I have to be careful with my action when carrying out the mission given to me, at the same time being careful to not stand out too much to cause any suspicion. This is the only way for me to be able to continue playing what I love most. I've got no other choice.

We're inside the caravan, heading to our next destination after the coach gets a message to head to Hokkaido. We are to recruit a legendary striker from there who's also known for a lot of names. Most of which is known to be the Snow Prince. The atmosphere inside the caravan is quite tense after Gouenji left.

I turn my head to look at Someoka who's sitting on the chair across from mine and Kazemaru's. He's definitely the one who's most unhappy at the thought of Gouenji getting replaced. He thinks that if we welcome another striker, that would make Gouenji have no place to return to.

I turn my head to look at the others. My eyes make contact with Endou's. He smiles softly at me. He one of the people that believes Gouenji would return to us again one day. So until then, we just have to focus on upcoming matches with the Aliea Academy. I let out a soft sigh and turn to look out the window again, leaning my head against the glass as I watch the scenery passing by. I wonder what kind of person this Fubuki Shirou is.

I hug the blanket tighter around my shoulders, trying to protect myself from the cold. I turn my head to look outside the caravan to see the snow covered ground. I usually don't mind the cold. But, not this cold.

The caravan suddenly comes to stop. Everyone let out a yelp because the stop was quite sudden. I have to hold out my hands to prevent my face from hitting the front seat. It turns out, it was because there was someone out there. Endou gets off the caravan to offer the boy a right. In which he was grateful for.

"Are you still cold?" Touko asked. He assures that he's okay. But his shaky and trembling voice told us the truth. I notice he's bringing a soccer ball with him. He might a player himself. Endou also thinks the same and ask if he likes soccer. He told us that he does like soccer, which excites our captain.

Suddenly the caravan stops again. This time because it's stuck on something. Just as Furukabu-San is about to get off to check on it. The boy told him not to, stating that it would be dangerous. Megane turn to look out a caravan at the same time as a huge claw slams against it, scaring the poor guy. It appears to be a bear, as it starts to shake our caravan.

"Eh... where did he go?" I asked, noticing the empty spot where the grayish haired boy previously sat on. I let out a yelp when the caravan jump. Unintentionally, I bump with Kazemaru. My hand on his chest, and our faces are only a few millimeters apart.

"I'm sorry, Kazemaru... I didn't mean to" I said, smiling apologetically at him. Even though he told me it's okay. His face is red. I didn't say anything or point it out since I don't wanna make him feel awkward. The caravan's door opening catches our attention.

"It's okay now..." the boy said, smiling softly at us. I blink my eyes in surprise. He walks back towards the chair and sits down. He feels my gaze and turn to look at me. "Sorry for startling you" he said, in a soft voice.

"Eh? Uh... it's f-f-fine" I stuttered out. He blinks his eyes. A soft smile eventually starts to form on his lips. I smile softly at him. I turn to look out the window as the caravan begins to move once again.

Time-skip

After dropping off the boy a while ago, we finally reach Hakuren Junior High. I stare into the distance where the Junior High-School comes into view. Just a bit longer until we'd be able to meet the mysterious striker, Fubuki Shirou.

Everyone instantly gets surrounded by the time we meet the Hakuren Soccer Club. I just stand on the line since I am new to the team. These people are probably rooting for them because they won the Football Frontier.

I smile softly at the sight of them being surrounded by the people who admired them. A frown eventually start to form on my lips. These people are friendly. There is no hint of arrogance in them. They welcomed the greetings of their fans with open arms even a smile on their faces.

"Hey, L/N! Come over here!" I hear Endou calling out for me. I blink my eyes at what he said. I walk forward to stand next to him. He places a hand on my shoulder as he turn to look at them. "This is L/N Y/N. She's new to the team. But don't underestimate her skills. She beats Kazemaru in speed" he said. The Hakuren Soccer Club starts to surrounds me in amazement. I let out a nervous laugh and I turn my head to look at Endou, who grins at me.

"Yeah! L/N is an amazing striker!" Kabeyama said. I just smile softly. The rest of the Raimon team starts boasting about me. I let out a nervous laugh as I close my eyes. I feel a drop of sweat running down the side of my head, feeling myself growing awkward as they keep talking about me to Hakuren Soccer Club.

"Ah, come on, guys. I'm not that amazing! I still feel awkward on the field. If I'm that strong, we would've able to defeat the aliens. But we lost the match against the Gemini Storm" I said. Endou turn to look at me and gently pat my back.

"Don't mind that!! We still have room for growth and developments. I'm sure you would get even stronger and we'll be able to defeat the Aliens!" Endou said. The others nods their heads in agreement, even the Hakuren Soccer Team. They start to shower me with more compliments.

I just stare at them, not knowing how to react. They didn't give me any room to try and argue with any of them. They're adamant to make me feel like I worth something in this team... to them.

Find a way to destroy them... the man's voice echoed in my head. I lower my gaze a little, to avoid making eye-contact with any of them as I let my bangs covered my face. You are not to make friends with them... you are to make sure they lose their fighting spirit! More of the man's words starts echoing in my head.

"Where... is the washroom?" I asked, lifting my head a little to look at the Hakuren Soccer Club. One of them pointed to the direction. I turn around and walks off, without saying anything else. I feel tears gathering in my eyes.

I push the door open and enters. I lean my back against the door, leaning my head back. I slid my body down, sitting on the ground as I hug my knees tightly. They showed me kindness and friendship. But I... I'm here to find ways to make sure they lose.

"I'm the worst..." I mumbled to myself. I shut my eyes tightly as tears finally starts streaming down my cheeks. I lift my hands, placing it on my head as I start pulling on my hair out of frustration. "I'm a monster!" I cried out. My whole body begins to tremble as I start to cry harder.

Why am I even here?
