Chapter 4

"Forgive me..." she mumbled. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I notice tears gathering in her eyes. A few tears even falls from her eyes. "Forgive me, everyone" she said. What is she apologizing about? Why is she even apologizing?

-First Match-

Y/N P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes. I realize I'm laying my head on a shoulder. I quickly move and turn to look at Kazemaru. "Ah... I'm so sorry for falling asleep on you, Kazemaru-San..." I said.

He turn his head to look at me and smiles softly. "It's fine, L/N. I don't mind at all" he said. I just smile softly at him. He's being so understanding. He didn't even get angry after I basically invaded his personal space by sleeping on his shoulder. It makes me feel accepted.

Remember your mission, L/N. Do whatever it takes to destroy their fighting spirits severely... his voice echoed in my head. I turn my head to look at the others as they talk excitedly among themselves. I turn my head to look out the window.

I let out a sigh as I close my eyes, as I try to control my emotions as to not start crying. The last thing I want is for them to see me crying and starts questioning. But I can't stop the feeling of guilt and regret building up inside of me.

Forgive me, everyone...

We're inside the caravan. The entrance is blocked by the police who refuses to let us in. Coach Hitomiko told us to stay inside the caravan while she try to talk to them. I place my elbow on the window as I watch. Seems like she has no luck.

Endou he wants to try to talk and beg for them to let us in. He gets off the caravan. But before he got a chance to say anything, the police let us in. I cover my mouth to try and stifle a laugh at the expression Endou is making.

We make our way inside. The first thing we notice is the statue that is shattered. "So this is what those aliens do?" I said. I feel anger boiling in me. How could someone do this kind of cruel thing?

We decide to look around the area to try and look for a clue. A clue that might tell us what the Aliea Academy would might be planning to do next. I place my hands inside my pocket as I look around.

I flinch when I hear splashing sound. I rush towards it and notice Kabeyama flailing around in the water. I feel a drop of sweat running down the side of my head. I let out a sigh at his action.

Turns out, he found a black ball that the Aliens used to cause destructions. Endou walks forward to try and pick it up, only to struggle because of the weight. He stares at the ball in shock.

"It's so heavy... but those aliens were kicking it around like it was nothing" he said. Indeed... the power of the aliens are surely fearsome. But we shouldn't be afraid if we want to beat them.

I hear footsteps and turn my head to see a group of men. Judging by the way they dressed, lets me know that they are bodyguards. They're most likely the bodyguards of the Prime Minister that had just been abducted.

A girl walks forward. "Tell me where you've taken my father, aliens!!" She said. I blink my eyes at what she just said. Is she being serious? Do we look like aliens to her? She's got to be joking.

We start arguing with her that we're not aliens. In the end, she ended up challenging us to a soccer match. I flinch at what she said. This will be my first match, and luckily the opponent isn't the Aliea Academy team. I'm still not so sure that I'm up to my true potential as a soccer player. After all, I've just returned to soccer after years of being on a wheelchair.

"Are you nervous?" A voice said. I turn my head to see Kidou as he stares at me worriedly. I smile softly at his worry side.

"A little. It's been a while since I've participated in a match like this..." I said. He smiles at me and lift his hand, gently patting my shoulder. "Ah, thank you for trying to comfort me" I said, appreciating his gesture. He nods his head.

After warming up, we head to the field and take our positions. The ball is soon kicked towards me. Alright, time to see if I still have what it takes to be a player. I kick the ball towards the opponent's goal. I jump out of the way as they try to snatch the ball from me.

"She's really fast!" A voice said, making me smirk to myself. Once near the goal. I jump high in the air. I spin once and kicks the ball. It speeds towards the goal. The keeper manage to catch it as I land on the ground.

I click my tongue in annoyance at the failed attempt to score a point. But my kick is quite strong... but it's not strong enough. Looks like I've got a lot of training to do in order to regain back all my strength back then.

The game ended with us being the winner. The girl walks up to us. "Not bad for a bunch of aliens..." she said. Her comments ticked us off. Kazemaru walks up to her.

"I told you that we're not the aliens!!" He exclaimed. I notice a playful glimmer in her eyes. "How many times do we have to tell you that??" Kazemaru said. He didn't seem to notice that look in her eyes. I let out a sigh and walks up to him, placing a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"Settle down, Kazemaru..." I said. He turn his head to look at me. I smile softly at him. I turn to look at the girl. "You knew all along, didn't you? That we're not one of those aliens" I said. A grin starts to form on her face which confirms my suspicion. "Ah, I was right. You were only trying to test us. To see if we're worthy to be the team to fight the Aliea Academy" I said, pointing my finger at her.

"Right on point... of course, I know you're the team that won the Football Frontier. The team who'd be fighting against the aliens. I just want to test out your skills since I don't want to just entrust this task to just anyone" she said, placing her hands on her hips. She grins at me. "You did well figuring that out..." she said, making me smile at her comment. She's quite a good player. Maybe if she joins us, it'll add more strength to our play.
