Charles sits behind his desk while holding KJ against him, the little newborn boy being in a dark blue little outfit and a beanie and fur socks, his head being rested against Charles's chest as he sleeps.
He pours two glasses of scotch, Sam sitting in front of his desk in the chair, him going to take the glass after Charles gets done pouring it.
"What's his name?" Sam asks.
"KJ, stands for Kendall Junior." Charles responds, him staring down at KJ. "He brings good comfort, despite how difficult and clingy he can be."
"Sounds like my youngest daughter." Sam replies. "Now tell me what happened. He has amnesia?"
Charles slowly nods, going to take a long gulp out of his scotch and set down the bottle after he is done. "He woke while Sue was giving birth, Sue almost collapsed in both shock and joy when he walked inside of the room." He starts. "But he started questioning when Sue got pregnant, just different things he didn't remember. I contacted her colleagues and they diagnosed him with having amnesia. He only remembers three days before Max arrived, a little after me and my guys left to do some business."
"Does Zayn know?"
"Yeah." Charles nods. "He went through the whole spill saying we can't tell him anything that happened, that he has to remember for himself, and to not stress and overwhelm him."
"When Max had amnesia it took her seeing me to get her memories back." Sam says. "For my wife it was her seeing Max, we called it a trigger person. Maybe your son needs this trigger person."
"That's the thing, the more I thought on it I believe Max might be that trigger person for him."
"Why would it be her?"
"Well a lot happened when she arrived, a lot that made him keep secrets, and got him angry and led to us having a stand off with you guys." Charles replies. "I would like to try it out with her."
"That would be up to her." Sam responds.
"I know we were about to harm her in the past because we thought she betrayed us, but I know that isn't the case, I know it wasn't her."
"Who was it then?"
"Probably an enemy of ours trying to take us down." Charles responds. "So far there has been nothing else yet that our connection in Interpol has caught or our people within the department so I'm not entirely to worried on it, I have much bigger things to take care of."
