"What is the last thing she remembers?" Rita asks, her and Zayn sitting next to each other with Zayn holding the phone.
"It...it's bad." Brett sighs out in stress, him and Sam being in Sam's room. "The last thing she remembers was winning the case against Michael Block years ago."
Rita and Zayn both look at each other, their eyes being a little wide from the statement they just heard. "Well that was a long time ago."
"So she has amnesia..." Sam trails off.
Zayn sighs out, his hand scratching through his red hair. "Look guys I already told you there was a high percentage that she would have brain damage, her head injury was severe. It's good that she remembers something, Max had full amnesia. So who does she remember right now?"
"Me, Mikayla, Sasha and Jared as well as Lorenzo." Brett replies. "I'm guessing she remembers Lorenzo from him carrying her out of the warehouse. It's like she remembers every single memory of Lorenzo from infant to 22 but she has no other memory of anyone else past the point of Michael Block."
"How can she remember all of Lorenzo's childhood to adulthood but her last memory of just....everything was back then?" Rita questions.
"Every patient is different when it comes to their memory loss, not everyone is the same." Zayn replies.
"What the hell are we suppose to do, Zayn?!" Sam questions irritably.
"First things first you will not overwhelm her. Like I said she has a major head injury so she needs her rest and to not be overwhelmed nor stressed." Zayn starts. "She needs to slowly start being introduced to things to trigger memories but like I said do NOT overwhelm her or you will risk her recovery. So for now let the people she knows be around her, and slowly start to introduce her to one person...let her regain her memory of that person then move onto the next person until she gets her memories of all of you, but only one at a time."
"You have to be fucking kidding me." Sam sighs out. "Zayn Elio Niccolò and especially Max wants to be with her! I want to be with her!"
"I'm sorry last time I checked I am one of the best doctors in the world so I know what the hell I am talking about!" Zayn exclaims. "Do you want your wife to end up having a longer recovery and let the stress make her worse?! She is already going to be overwhelmed and confused and you all cannot put more on her you understand?! I know it's hard! But you need to listen if you want for her to regain her memories back."
