Ch. 34: The Stand-Down

Sue throws up in the toilet, her being on her knees in front of the toilet, her going to flush the toilet and brush her teeth, staring at herself in the mirror.

She looks around when the alarms begin to go off, her hand going over her chest from the sudden loud sounds of it.

"Sue! Sue!"

Sue goes to leave out of the bathroom, seeing Claudia holding her gun. "Claud? What's going on?" Sue questions in concern. "And why are the alarms going off?"

"Because we're under attack." Claudia replies.

"What?!" Sue exclaims. "Where are the kids?!"

"Tracy is getting them to the safe room. Come on!"

Sue quickly gets her gun, her and Claudia going to quickly run out of the room.

"You all stay here." Tracy states, Kendall as well as Tabitha, Tanner, Sterling, Tatum and Cornelius being in the safe room. "Remember the drills? This is just like it. You all have to stay in here understand?"

"We understand, Tracy." Kendall nods. "Who is attacking us? Who is it?"

"I don't know, just stay here."

Kendall waits until Tracy leaves out of the door, it shutting behind her. "Okay, you can come out now."

Max rounds the corner from across the room, her jogging over to Kendall. "Who is attacking?"

"I don't know." Kendall replies. "It's best if we stay here."

"I'm scared!" Cornelius cries.

"It'll be okay, Cornelius." Kendall brings him in for a hug.

Max looks down when Tabitha and Tatum hugs her legs, her going to look back up towards the door.

"Sam Mayfield." Charles acknowledges with crossed arms. "You got some GODDAMN NERVE showing up here! And not only that! Killing my goddamn guards!"

"The only one who has nerve is you, Charles!"

"You're on American soil motherfucker! What makes you think you can massacre all of our guards and YOU are in control of the situation?!" Lucas exclaims.

"Try us, we'll show you just how in control we damn well are!" Lorenzo calls out.

Max feels her heart beat more faster, feeling the overwhelming urge to just run, her knowing she is no longer safe here. She just shaking her head after a minute, before running towards the door and leaving out of it.

"Max! MAX NO!" Kendall runs out after her, the five kids all gasping and some of them beginning to cry as they are left alone.

"Boss give us the order to shoot them!" Caesar states, Tracy Claudia and Sue coming out with their guns ready as well.

"One shot goes to us and you all will feel the wrath of our most deadliest bullets that we fucking possess!" Sam crosses his arms.

"Let's make this easy." Santiago states. "Hand her over!"

"Hand WHO OVER?!"

Max comes out of the front door, her eyes widening completely when she sees Sam along with the others standing behind and beside him, her eyes focusing more on Sam, her head beginning to hurt more than ever as a memory comes to mind for her.

"You think I'll ever be as good as you?" Max questions.

"You'll be better, Princess." Sam replies. "You'll be your own definition of better. You are the Sicilian Mafia Princess, and with that name you will bring honor, fear and respect. You are Maxine Rose Mayfield the second, Sicilian Mafia Princess, the Princess of Guns...."
