I only entered the Original Book main category, with Ancilla, because I thought the other categories were only for BTS fanfic. I was mistaken. Angelic_Maddness won first place in the Best Heartbreaking Chapter category, and I'm bowled over by how thorough the judge is when critiquing the winning entries. I hope I get at least third place in this one, just for the sake of the critique.

UPDATE (7/18/2024) - Ancilla took First Place in Original Book!
I also got an offer for a new cover from the cover shop affiliated with this award. If the artist can do something that works within my restrictions (font must be Cinzel Decorative, or at least Cinzel; there must be a black silk scarf featured prominently; there must be Hermetic symbolism of some kind - the Golden Dawn or OTO version of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life would be perfect; no human beings anywhere; dark academia aesthetic; a whip needs to be featured, bonus points if the whip looks like the terrifyingly destructive silver-handled scourge "ancilla" gets as a Yuletide present) I'm interested. Very interested. Let's just say that I've never been happy with Ancilla's cover. It was my very first Canva project ever, and the only reason I haven't come up with a better cover is that I'm stumped as to how to design something eye-catching and pretty that stays within my brand restrictions.
