I don't have a prayer of even making the longlist of the Watty's, nor do I have much interest in taking part - I'm nervous about Ancilla being used to train artificial intelligence to write monetized "verticals." Just one of those things. Not that Ancilla is popular enough to be a good victim of such intellectual property theft, but it's the principle of the thing, and I feel rotten for any author whose work is used to train AI, especially when no royalties or other forms of compensation are likely to ever go to that human author.
I might consider entering the Amby awards, though.
I'll have to read the terms carefully.

Well. That was not what I expected. At all.
The good news is that I made the shortlist. I actually made the shortlist.
The bad news is that what made the shortlist is Excavations, my anthology of utterly mediocre poetry. Nobody likes my fiction.
