The host of this contest is a teenager, which put restrictions on the material I could enter.
"The Fire That Burns the Brightest" is entered into Oneshots.
Morsels is entered as a short story collection, and Hells07Dealer knows that anything with an asterisk in its title is not safe reading for anyone under the age of 18. That leaves roughly half the stories in the collection, plus all the art. (I illustrate my books myself).
Juvenilia's cover is entered into Best Cover. I have disclosed that one element of the cover, the girl brandishing the sword, was generated by Canva Pro's AI bot; that is only one element in the entire cover. I snipped it from the random generation and spliced it into my layered cover (layered art edits and collages being the form I specialize in). It's difficult to find lifelike pictures of children who are wearing armor and wielding swords. My other option would have been to get a picture of Lucy from the movie version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and I didn't want to do that. It took me a few hours to make that cover, and most of that was splicing, layering, and playing with color palettes and other special artistic effects. I think I can say that it's my own work.
Excavations, my main book of poetry, is entered into Best Writing Style.
