I entered Ancilla into - brace yourselves - speculative fiction.
I'll let my entry form speak for itself:
Author: SeraDrake
Book Title: Ancilla
Status: Completed
Genre: Slipstream speculative fiction/magical realism/erotic litfic (Ancilla is also romance-adjacent, but it does not contain a Happily Ever After or any recognizable romance tropes. It's a genre mishmash, and this seemed like as good a place as any to stuff it)
Mature Rating: MASSIVE YES. The sex scenes are not written in kind of any tawdry or prurient way, and they are not the sole focus of the book, but there is at least one in nearly every chapter, and the protagonist and her mentor/soulmate are BDSM edge players. MATURE/18+ ONLY.
Blurb: Things an autistic, bisexual book nerd can find in a library: Books. Research quarterlies. Kinky vampire librarians... Wait. Stop. Kinky vampire librarians?... Yes. And magic. And the most profound love she has ever known.
