"Jade! Nandito na si Louie, hinihintay ka na.." Tita Jia called out.
"Wait for a while, pababa na rin po!"
I grabbed my bag from my bed and looked at the mirror for the last time before exiting the bedroom.
It was a typical Sunday morning. Still waking up early, preparing food, general cleaning.. Usually, I will get up to help tita prepare breakfast, then prepare myself next. Rest day usually ng linggo, pero not in mine's schedule. I had to go tutoring before I had the day to myself. Tsaka lang ako makakapagpahinga ng saglit tapos mag-iintindi na ulit ng lessons sa gabi.
Plus, sina Jolene naman kung hindi rin busy, they accompany Tita here. Kung minsan pa nga, mas nauuna pa sina Luna sa bahay para makikape o makikain. Nasanay na rin ako. Actually, their presence helps us to restore the happy energy in the house.
I will be forever thankful for their presence.
I bid goodbye to Tita and told her I would return later on. Depende pa rin kasi kung may lalakarin pa kong paper works sa oras ng balik ko.
I walked towards the front door just to see Lou who's already waiting on the porch. He's wearing a blue polo shirt at may hard cap pa na kulay yellow. Mukhang may bibisitahin na site pagkatapos akong ihatid.
"'Uy ganda," Pambungad na bati ni Lou sa'kin.
"Ang aga-aga in game ka na naman sa katarantaduhan, Lance Louie." Inirapan ko siya.
He just laughed it off before taking my bag. Siya na ang nagdala noon at isinakbit sa may balikat niya. Hinayaan ko na lang din siya. Lou likes doing things for others, kind of. Especially if you are special to him.
Pinagbuksan niya pa ako ng pinto sa sasakyan niya. Napansin kong hindi rin 'yon ang usual niyang sasakyan. Instead, it is a Jeep type of car. A Jeep Wrangler.
"Wow, big time ka lods ah," I said.
"Sira, 'di naman." Umayos na rin siya ng upo sa driver's seat. Ikinabit ko naman ang seatbelt ko.
"Sa'n muna tayo, boss?" He asked.
"School muna, Lou.. I forgot something." I answered.
Agad naman siyang tumalima upang mag-umpisa nang magmaneho paalis sa lugar.
I simply glanced at Lou after seconds of him, started driving the car. I breathe out a heavy sigh. Hindi naman niya yun napansin dahil busy siya magmaneho at medyo malakas din ang tugtog sa sasakyan. I suddenly remembered what happened last night.
