Just In Time Part 14

Racquel lay in bed, she turned and looked at her clock it was 3am. She knew she needed sleep as she had a busy day the next day but she couldn't. She had been tossing and turning all night. She had been used to sleeping next to Jay the last few nights and now she couldn't get to sleep because of that. Not only this but she was stressed about the event tomorrow and that everything would go to plan. She knew what she needed to do. She got out of bed, grabbed her phone and got some clean pants and a vest. She tip-toed out of the apartment and grabbed her keys, so she could get back in.

She walked down the hallway and opened Jay's door. She snuck in and closed the door behind her and went into Jay's room. He was sound asleep. She opened the duvet cover and slipped into his bed.

Jay felt a warm body in his bed. He began to wake up and saw Racquel. He smiled and she kissed him. He opened his arms and she cuddled into them. They both fell asleep.

Jay woke up with Racquel in his arms, he smiled "I thought I was dreaming. I am buzzing that it wasn't" he said, as she began to wake up. He kissed her head softly. "Thankyou for coming to me last night. I missed you so much" he said "I missed you. I missed sleeping next to you" she said as he ran his fingers through his hair. "If that means I get to sleep next to you every night then I'm happy" he smiled as she kissed him. Racquel then straddled him whilst they were kissing. "I need to go before Sel notices" she said "You are a fucking cock tease" he said "I know" she said as she got off him. He got up and followed her to the front door "see you soon beautiful" he said as he kissed her. She returned the kiss, putting her arms around his neck as he pulled her closer. Racquel laughed as she felt his hardness underneath his boxers. "That's your fault" he joked "I'll make it up to you" she said as she winked. They kissed one last time before Racquel left.

She left Jay's apartment and then sneaked back into her apartment that she shared with Selena. She let out a sigh of relief no one was around, she put the kettle on and tried to stop smiling before Selena or Benny, Selena's boyfriend came out. Her phone buzzed.

Jay: Thankyou for visiting me. Your the most beautiful girl and I am so lucky to have you. Have a great day x

Jay got out of the shower, he noticed Racquel had left her bracelet on the bedside table. He smiled and put it away as he wanted to keep it safe. His phone buzzed on the dresser.

Racquel: Thankyou for the key. You are the sweetest and I am the luckiest girl to have you. Have an amazing day baby xx

He smiled as his heart fluttered a little. He put his phone down and continued to get ready for the day.

Selena and Racquel were getting ready to go to an event. Benny was playing at Emma Watson's gon cocktail party where she would be premiering her gin. They were both excited to let their hair down after the stressful day they had.

Half an hour later.

Selena, Racquel and Courtney were standing round a table with other acquaintances. Someone then caught Racquel's eye. It was Jay. He was wearing an open khaki green shirt, with a tight fit white tee underneath, black jeans and chelsea boots. He was with a shorter blonde haired man's and a taller dark haired man, they were laughing and joking.

What was he doing here? She began to panic she wasn't expecting him to be here and in the same room as Selena. Shit.

Selena caught her gaze "shit" she mumbled "what's up?" Racquel asked innocently "the tall curly haired one, we went on a few dates prior to me getting with benny. I ended it, but still...." she said. Racquel nodded "whats up? You look like you've seen a ghost" Selena said. "Can we talk privately?" Racquel said. Selena nodded. Racquel took her hand and guided her to somewhere quieter. It was now or never.

Jay walked in with Tom and Matthew. They were here to support Emma. They grabbed a glass of champagne each and wandered in, to find a seat. Jay saw the girl of his dreams and Selena. His heart sank a little, all he wanted to do was go and kiss her, show everyone that she was his and he was hers. But he couldn't and the twinge of sadness returned to him. He saw Racquel lead Selena out of the room. Was this it?

Jay decided to excuse himself and follow them just in case.

"What's going on?" Selena asked once they were outside "I need to tell you something" she said as she put her head down "what's wrong" Selena asked worriedly "you know that guy you were talking about. The tall curly haired one?!" Racquel said. Selena nodded "we uh...we are together" she said "who is?" Selena asked confused. "Jay and I...are together" she said as she let out a breath of air. "You and Jay are dating?" Selena asked. Racquel nodded "huh" she said "how long?" she asked "we bumped into each other a few days ago. He told me right away that you guys had a history but there was a spark between us and I decided to see where it would lead, until you came the other day. I hadn't left his side" she said. Selena nodded, she turned on her heel and walked inside. Racquel wiped the upcoming tears away, this was exactly the opposite of what she hoped would happen.

Jay saw Selena walk away. She glared at him as she walked away. He ignored it and went to find Racquel. He found her outside wiping tears away from her eyes. He immediately went over and took her in his arms, whispering that everything would be alright. She wrapped her arms around his waist and cried. He kissed her head softly and let her cry into his chest.

After a minute or two she pulled away so she could wipe her eyes. Jay gave her a tissue "how are you so fucking perfect?" she said wiping her tears with the tissue. "I just am. It just comes naturally" he joked, trying to make her laugh. It succeeded and she giggled a bit "urghh. I look horrible" she said fixing her make up. "No you couldn't possibly look horrible, your too beautiful for that. It looks like your some kind of goth but like your a cute goth" he said "thanks babe" she giggled. Jay was trying his hardest to cheer her up and she really appreciated it. "Hang on there" he said and he rushed in. Racquel became confused. Soon he came back with baby wipes. He wiped off her mascara that had smudged. "There you go" he said and kissed her softly.
